Name and land theft of first inhabitants of Piney River aka Hickman Tennessee
My great grandfather and his mother's names were used to gain access to the land now known as Nunnelley Tennessee. They were the original Cherokee Nunley's of Piney River before the Indian Removal Act and the Trail of Tears. I would like to know what steps could be taken to allow for the true history to be revealed and how residents and visitors can be informed of the true Native American Cherokees that resided on the land before the settlers. The true last name of the settlers is Lawson. Andrew Jackson Baldwin Nunley (Lawson) is the person that the paper trail leads to. He manufactured a son by the name of my great grandfather and manufactured a wife for said son by using my great great grandmother's name along with their birthdates and other information.
