| Thanks for tagging articles under WikiProject Australian Transport. I should start doing some more! Steelkamp (talk) 09:08, 21 October 2023 (UTC) |
- @Steelkamp: thanks! Just figured why not since I have some spare time. I was about to do the disused regional stations in Victoria in alphabetical order (Category:Disused railway stations in Victoria (state)), but I've already stopped at the first one AGM Siding lol! then I think we still need to do the vast majority of open passenger stations (i.e. V/Line and Metro) in Victoria, maybe we can split doing it line by line? Maybe we could split the disused list by letter groups like say A-F and so on for each of us or whatever suits? I also have no idea if NSW disused stations is done, same for Queensland. I'm pretty sure SA/Adelaide stations are done though. Seems like you guys have gotten WA done? @JarrahTree: for your info :) Fork99 (talk) 09:16, 21 October 2023 (UTC)
- I've gotten WA open stations done. I have also got every station in Australia that has opened since 1909 done. I was going through Category:Railway stations in Australia by year of opening backwards and got up until 1909. Steelkamp (talk) 09:19, 21 October 2023 (UTC)
- @Steelkamp: Oh I see, I was wondering how come it seemed a bit random to me that some had the tag but most didn't. By the way, I don't think the vast majority of the links on Template:MelbourneTramNavbox are done, so I might do that now and leave the stations for some time later. Fork99 (talk) 09:23, 21 October 2023 (UTC)

- No need to micromanage anything really, just beware some of the oz main cats dont even have oz mentioned :) - and I am not sure where some of the oddities come from, it takes too long to work out the diffs compared to fixing... some runs of the categories show irregular bits and pieces. The potential for other states to be as weird is always there... JarrahTree 09:30, 21 October 2023 (UTC)
November Articles for creation backlog drive

Hello Fork99:
WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than 2 months outstanding reviews from the current 4+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 November 2023 through 30 November 2023.
You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.
Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
Your opinion on List of Sydney Metro stations
Hi. I have done some improvements to List of Sydney Metro stations and am thinking of taking it to WP:Featured list candidates. I would like to know what your opinion on the current state of the article is first. Thanks, Steelkamp (talk) 04:48, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Steelkamp: Hm seems fine to me, maybe though except the lead might be a little too long? I think it should be as concise/brief as possible to make sure readers know the difference between train and metro, but most of that info, I think belongs at Sydney Metro to avoid content overlap. Also, in the future, info might be updated at the main article but the list might be forgotten, leaving it with outdated info that might not be picked up for a while.
- Oh and I think there's a bit of MOS:DUPLINK throughout the tables. But other than that, seems alright! Fork99 (talk) 05:06, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for your feedback. Generally the leads for featured lists are quite long. See List of Bay Area Rapid Transit stations or List of Copenhagen Metro stations or List of London Underground stations.
- Regarding duplicate links, tables are generally exceptions to that rule as tables can be reordered.
- Thanks for fixing the things I missed in this edit. Steelkamp (talk) 05:17, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
Another question relating to the Sydney Metro list. Do you know of a source which has the ridership for each station? All I've found is this SMH article, which does not have ridership for every station. Thanks, Steelkamp (talk) 04:11, 5 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Steelkamp: Good question, they don't seem to have publicly available stats for the most recent years.
- If you go to opendata.transport.nsw.gov.au, that website has a lot of weird and fascinating datasets on NSW transport, but you first need to sign up for a free account to download any of the excel spreadsheets.
- opendata.transport.nsw.gov.au/dataset/train-station-entries-and-exits-data is the closest thing I can find. It has snapshot data of selected two week periods for individual stations between 2016 and 2020.
- Give this a try as well: opendata.transport.nsw.gov.au/dataset/opal-tap-on-and-tap-off-release-2.
- They do have performance data and monthly, weekly and yearly stats for each train/metro/light rail/ferry line, bus contract region and bus operator and a total for each transport mode at transport.nsw.gov.au/data-and-research/data-and-insights. Interestingly, a breakdown of what type of ticket/concession people use too but no dice for individual station numbers. The Open Data website link is opendata.transport.nsw.gov.au/dataset/opal-trips-train. At that Open Data link, at the bottom, there's some comments by some users, and presumably an employee called alejandro.felman responded with the following:
Hi Llewellyn, unfortunately we don’t have updated data on a per station basis. However, you can use our Opal Tap-On/Tap-Off datasets to look at similar data on a per station basis. These datasets are historical snapshots from various two-week periods that should give you an idea of usage.
- Since that Open Data website has a forum function thingy, I saw some users trying to ask for this data, but it seems that they haven't budged on ‘privacy’ concerns. I mean if any of us here have access to a reliable source to publish at, we could totally try and do a $30 GIPA/FOI application to Transport for NSW for this information lol! Assuming that it goes through and then they email us the data haha. Fork99 (talk) 05:13, 5 November 2023 (UTC)
- I see. So seems like nothing I can really use on the Sydney Metro list. Steelkamp (talk) 05:17, 5 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Steelkamp: Yeah I guess unfortunately not, but maybe in the future, they might, I can see how it would help with the list. Completely irrelevant to the wiki, but I'm just happy that they have open data on real time public transport vehicle locations. You can track pretty much every TfNSW train, bus, coach, tram and ferry in the state, it really helps to see if your bus is running late or whatever. So many mobile trip planning/map apps have access to this data too. It's something I hope that some of the other states implement if they haven't already. Fork99 (talk) 05:24, 5 November 2023 (UTC)
- We have real time bus tracking in Perth, although often the tracker lags half a minute behind where the bus really is.
- I have similar frustrations with the lack of ridership data for individual stations in Perth. When writing articles on stations in Perth, I generally have to make do with data from 2013-14, which is the latest I've been able to find comprehensive ridership data for each station. The only reason we even have that data is from a question asked during question time in parliament. Steelkamp (talk) 05:30, 5 November 2023 (UTC)

always a relief
...to see fundamental maintenance issues addressed in the wider scope of things. One small problem I have seen in some oz arts about rail things, is that the wikidata/short decrip has no sense of 'tense' relating to former railway lines, it is as if the railway lines still exist and are operational, even in some cases there is no attempt in the lead sentences to clearly say 'former' or as some enthusiasts so love to put it 'defunct' (maybe that is something that I miss, either they are open/ closed, or even tracks remain/tracks lifted distinction maybe as away of identifying levels of no longer operating) Anyways keep up the good work! JarrahTree 05:13, 2 December 2023 (UTC)
Nobody bothered to tell me at all (well not until a few days ago), but rater has changed... :) - the top line in the box is possible to put the class for all the projects which can remain de-fanged. What I have done at TAA talk page might give you a clue... I was lucky enough to be at a meetup where I was able to have a chat with the creator of Rater - and also became very aware of the deprecation of ORES - you would have to either respond here or at my talk to find out more, It is spooky trying to relate to silent talk pages, so to speak. JarrahTree 04:16, 4 December 2023 (UTC)
Your edits look very weird - the summary uses the word 'Rater' - but where?
Latest revision as of 08:56, 5 December 2023 edit undo thank Fork99 (talk | contribs) rollback: 1 edit Assessment: Australia, Aviation (Rater)
Basically it looks like you have disabled the banner shell.... Why? For heavens sake reply, I have repeatedly tried to have conversation and you remain silent? Am I cursed by some unknown virus or curse or something? The disabling of the banner shell removes a part of the serviceability of the process, unless you know something that I dont... and leaving off the importance level for transport still makes me wonder... Please take the time to engage, thanks. JarrahTree 01:09, 5 December 2023 (UTC)
- @JarrahTree: sorry I didn't see your pings. My rater seems to only add a banner shell if one doesn't already exist when three or more WikiProjects are on the page, as far as I'm aware, I'm only aware of it being for cosmetic purposes (i.e. so you're not bombarded with a million WikiProjects at once on the talk page)? I have no idea if on the technical side of things it changes anything.
- Regarding the importance, as far as I’m aware, when the main parent WikiProject Australia already has an importance level set for a particular page, its child projects seems to default to the main project's importance unless otherwise set to something else. For example, see Talk:1931 Avro Ten Southern Cloud disappearance, where I didn't add the importance for WP:AUSTS, but it's still automatically in Category:Low-importance Australian Transport articles because WikiProject Australia was already set to low importance.
- Unless there's also something technical/behind the scenes that I'm not aware of? Fork99 (talk) 01:23, 5 December 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for replying, sorry to be a nuisance. Keep up the good work, my watchlist has been alive with your good work!
- When I have more time to explain, the rater change thing I will try to explain better - and thanks for your explanation - I see very clearly the side of how you are explaining - much appreciate your patience... JarrahTree 01:34, 5 December 2023 (UTC)
- @JarrahTree: Sure thing, in many ways, I'm still quite new around here; I had to look up what ORES was since I haven't really dealt with recent changes much. Mainly, I just look at my watchlist and read a bunch of random articles every now and again and that's how I usually make my edits. Fork99 (talk) 01:40, 5 December 2023 (UTC)
- you make it sound like you dont know much, but from my watchlist you have done brilliantly today - I am sorry that I havent explained very well the imminent changes with auto assessment processes - ORES is about be killed off, and I havent got a good explanation as to what happens next... more later... on everything, more later... sorry to have been a bit impatient, I hadnt realised how it is difficult to explain the things... New Pages Patrol newsletter April 2024
Hello Fork99,

Backlog update: The October drive reduced the article backlog from 11,626 to 7,609 and the redirect backlog from 16,985 to 6,431! Congratulations to Schminnte, who led with over 2,300 points.
Following that, New Page Patrol organized another backlog drive for articles in January 2024. The January drive started with 13,650 articles and reduced the backlog to 7,430 articles. Congratulations to JTtheOG, who achieved first place with 1,340 points in this drive.
Looking at the graph, it seems like backlog drives are one of the only things keeping the backlog under control. Another backlog drive is being planned for May. Feel free to participate in the May backlog drive planning discussion.
It's worth noting that both queues are gradually increasing again and are nearing 14,034 articles and 22,540 redirects. We encourage you to keep contributing, even if it's just a single patrol per day. Your support is greatly appreciated!
2023 Awards

Onel5969 won the 2023 cup with 17,761 article reviews last year - that's an average of nearly 50/day. There was one Platinum Award (10,000+ reviews), 2 Gold Awards (5000+ reviews), 6 Silver (2000+), 8 Bronze (1000+), 30 Iron (360+) and 70 more for the 100+ barnstar. Hey man im josh led on redirect reviews by clearing 36,175 of them. For the full details, see the Awards page and the Hall of Fame. Congratulations everyone for their efforts in reviewing!
WMF work on PageTriage: The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers deployed the rewritten NewPagesFeed in October, and then gave the NewPagesFeed a slight visual facelift in November. This concludes most major work to Special:NewPagesFeed, and most major work by the WMF Moderator Tools team, who wrapped up their major work on PageTriage in October. The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers will continue small work on PageTriage as time permits.
Recruitment: A couple of the coordinators have been inviting editors to become reviewers, via mass-messages to their talk pages. If you know someone who you'd think would make a good reviewer, then a personal invitation to them would be great. Additionally, if there are Wikiprojects that you are active on, then you can add a post there asking participants to join NPP. Please be careful not to double invite folks that have already been invited.
Reviewing tip: Reviewers who prefer to patrol new pages within their most familiar subjects can use the regularly updated NPP Browser tool.
Reminders:
- You can access live chat with patrollers on the New Pages Patrol Discord.
- Consider adding the project discussion page to your watchlist.

A close read of the articles that exist could have waylaid a national enquiry, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swan_Transit#TransAlbany for instance. JarrahTree 01:45, 24 June 2024 (UTC)
- @JarrahTree: First of all, please don't use that dismissive tone with me. I thought I'd ask at the transport project where there's also editors from interstate who might have an opinion (e.g. on notability), and I know that you and @Steelkamp are based in WA. I'll ask at the WA project to contribute then as well. Fork99 (talk) 01:55, 24 June 2024 (UTC)
- well if that is how you feel about it, my apologies... The problem with notability is like the melbourne metropolitan focus of the project is hardly an australian wide understanding - and regional western australian bus service articles have never been a high focus of any editor by looks, which makes it far too easy to dismiss regional services in any state - that said, most Perth metro editors are web based (with a very strong bias to PTA and Metronet), and hardly ever adequately even use Trove let alone regional sources - the https://www.pta.wa.gov.au/our-services/transregional system is probably what you might be thinking of for a central default - I would strongly object to reducing back to that for any great urge to deal the gng on to the bus services however depleted the articles may currently appear, as the actual context and history of the services (like Albany) have not been adequately described in the articles as, if you havent noticed, general editing of Australian content is 'down', and going down... in some cases your finding more items for transport tags in australian articles you may be the only editor to visit those articles in the current state of low editing. Furthermore, the resounding echo chamber of Western Australian and Tasmanian projects (of which I am most familiar) strongly suggests that any identification of problem articles would be to actually encourage actual adding more material rather than applying GNG questions.JarrahTree 02:08, 24 June 2024 (UTC)
- @JarrahTree: I'm not suggesting deletion, just simply a merge and/or expansion where possible. I do agree that the 20th century history aspects of buses in each of these places might have been forgotten about - I don't think that the TransRegional articles are the best place for it since the name implies a focus on the current branding name. If the respective operator already has an article or deserves an article, by all means, go for expanding those I think. Fork99 (talk) 02:15, 24 June 2024 (UTC)

Luxury Escapes ambiguity
Re Luxury Escapes - good work with the recent edits. @Fork99
Given the prominence of this brand in the Australian market most known for it's travel agency business (rather than TV show) - and the current ambiguity on wiki between the website and TV show of the same name, is it best to create 2 separate wiki articles? For example:
- Luxury Escapes (TV show)
- Luxury Escapes (travel agency)
The travel agency (including website) is one of Australia's largest travel brands...
Article claims "307,828 – Luxury Escapes bookings in 2022": https://travelweekly.com.au/article/study-finds-90-of-australians-plan-to-travel-in-2023-their-destination-preferences-revealed/
Website claims over 7 million members: https://luxuryescapes.com/au/about-us
Google trends show larger search interest than other popular brand such as agoda, expedia: https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=today%205-y&geo=AU&q=Luxury%20Escapes,agoda,expedia,luxury%20escape%20tv&hl=en-GB
They have just won Most Outstanding Travel Agency at the AITA awards: https://travelweekly.com.au/article/breaking-all-the-winners-of-the-atias-2024-national-travel-industry-awards/ Plzy (talk) 01:52, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Plzy: If you think that the travel agency as a topic will pass Wikipedia's guidelines on notability (the main test used to determine whether a topic deserves an article on Wikipedia), please feel free to start a draft article by following the steps at Wikipedia:Articles for creation. I still don't think that the sources that you provided demonstrate significant coverage in secondary reliable sources and/or are not promotional. Fork99 (talk) 02:29, 1 November 2024 (UTC)

I've just recently (just kidding 3 months ago) reverted an edit you did on Outback Xplorer. It was the one where you mentioned the name wasn't official. Well, I have a correction for you. I've reverted the edit, because if you see the website here, and you scroll down, it reads
The Broken Hill Outback Xplorer train runs weekly every Monday to Broken Hill.
The name is still official. I have read your reasoning on the the archived talk page, and it applies for Northern Tablelands Express, but not for Outback Xplorer.
Please reply if you received this message.
Thanks. MrActiniuM (talk) 09:07, 4 November 2024 (UTC)

Has the Doomben Railway Line page received a reverse somehow?
Hey Fork, I'm wondering if you could help out with this. I've posted a question on the Doomben line talk page, I've placed the actual article here if necessary. Kind regards, 124.149.132.120 (talk) 07:59, 29 December 2024 (UTC)

Hey @Fork99,
I did the edit you requested 4 years ago.
It was the Y set conversion back to regular V sets. However I couldn't find a good source. MrActiniuM (talk) (contribs) 10:46, 9 February 2025 (UTC)

Twinkling
Greetings! Thank you for speedying a redirect that was a recent page move vandalism. I also appreciate how it happened that I was notified, and I appreciate that you reverted the notification. I understand checkbox errors, they happen. The content of the particular vandalism (and notice) led me to seek revdel. Please feel free to initiate that on your own in the future if you find this particular word at hand involved in vandalism-related twinkling or checkbox misfires. Especially if there's indication the non-authoring notified editor is from or in North America. I don't mean to browbeat at all. I just can't think of any comparably distressing word to have in a usertalk history. Thanks again for your revert, for all you do, and for your time reading this. Cheers! JFHJr (㊟) 22:30, 1 May 2025 (UTC)
- @JFHJr: funny thing, I only stumbled upon that user's edits because of the ANI thread next to another one I was involved in at the time. I'm from Australia, and that word isn't widely used here in a local context, and I only know its connotation because of North American popular culture. Thanks for revdeling it, I wouldn't have thought to have done that. Fork99 (talk) 23:46, 1 May 2025 (UTC)

3000 Class Railcar editing
On the 3000 Class Railcar Page one of my Pictures was removed by User contributions for 203.56.146.90 - Wikipedia than recently I got a message from User:Upsq12c - Wikipedia on my talk page saying they had removed it, but they didn't edit the 3000 Class Railcar Page which has got me suspicious. 6EEEEEEVIDEOs (talk) 08:49, 8 September 2025 (UTC)
- @6EEEEEEVIDEOs: I'm sorry but I don't understand what edits you're talking about and what the issue is? I looked at the edit history of 3000 class railcar and don't see any recent reverts. If there is a content dispute, please raise it with the other editor involved on their user talk page and/or on the article talk page. Failing that, there are dispute resolution options available. Fork99 (talk) 20:41, 8 September 2025 (UTC)
- it wasn't a revert someone removed it by editing. 6EEEEEEVIDEOs (talk) 20:51, 8 September 2025 (UTC)
- @6EEEEEEVIDEOs: Ok, well I still don't understand what the issue is. I'm not involved in this presumed content dispute about the inclusion of an image. It's best that you try and discuss this with the other involved editor(s) to reach a WP:CONSENSUS. Fork99 (talk) 21:02, 8 September 2025 (UTC)

Hi, I just wanted to say that I think there was a misunderstanding. Another editor said that the article uses Br Eng but used an American spelling, I reverted it, and you reverted me (and you were correct). I have no intentions of edit warring whatsoever. - @Jerry, Ho Lun: You have not understood the multiple messages left on your talk page and in reply to your talk post at Talk:Sha Tin to Central Link.
- Per Wikipedia's guidelines on reliable sources, Fandom wikis should not be used as a citation/reference on Wikipedia. User-generated content should not be cited on Wikipedia. If you can find the same information published elsewhere in a source like a news article or similar, please reference it and/or continue the discussion that you already started at Talk:Sha Tin to Central Link. Fork99 (talk) 10:11, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- Why don't you visit the website then translated about KCR owned stations (with exception owned by MTR.) Jerry, Ho Lun (talk) 10:19, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Jerry, Ho Lun: All information on Wikipedia must be verifiably cited/referenced. Fandom wikis are not a reliable source that should be cited on Wikipedia.
- The burden of providing a verifiable citation for new information on a Wikipedia article is on the editor who makes the change or proposes a change to an article.
- Can you please provide a direct link or reference which is NOT the Fandom wiki page? I could not find any reference to the Sha Tin to Central Link in that page.
- If you don't provide any new information to verify the claims you make, your edits will continue to be reverted for being insufficiently cited. Fork99 (talk) 10:27, 18 September 2025 (UTC)

Edit reverted on the 3000 Class Railcar Page because, of Image Removal with no Reason.
Is it vandalism to remove a photo off a Wikipedia Page for no Reason? because one of the photos, I added in of a Cab was removed, I reverted the edit so the picture is back. 6EEEEEEVIDEOs (talk) 04:06, 23 September 2025 (UTC)
- @6EEEEEEVIDEOs: Again, this appears to be a content dispute. Vandalism is defined on Wikipedia at WP:VANDALISM and I do not believe that this obviously meets that definition. Although the other editor seemingly did not justify why they removed your image in their edit summary (and seemingly neither did you justify why you undid their edit in your edit summary), you should discuss with them on the article talk page or on their user talk page why you believe that the image should stand. If they don't respond and/or no one else removes your image, it can probably remain in the meantime.
- Please have a read of WP:Dispute resolution, WP:CONSENSUS and WP:Manual of Style/Images.
- @Hudsons Trainspotting youtube: as the other editor involved. Fork99 (talk) 09:06, 23 September 2025 (UTC)
Sha Tin to Central Link owned by MTR for trackage rights
I liked to remind you that (former) operator and owner are different, e.g. MTR was built to own Sha tin to Central Link stations like SCL Phase 1 inspired by shelved MTR Sha tin Line if doesn't have rail merger because through service to KCR owned West Rail or Ma On Shan Rail either sides like Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line, while KCR formerly solely operated trackage rights are West Rail and Ma On Shan Rail. Jerry, Ho Lun (talk) 05:25, 11 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Jerry, Ho Lun: It does not matter what you've said UNLESS you can prove it with a reliable source, regardless of whether or not it is factually true. You have not provided any reliable citations thus far. You have not read or understood any of the multitude of messages left on your talk page about this over the past few months. Fandom wikis are NOT a reliable source. You currently do not have a reliable source to prove this. Please carefully read every message that has been left on your talk page. User:Plmoin2514
Hello, Fork99. I’m Hein. I would like to discuss User:Plmoin2514, as I noticed that you had a long argument with this user at Talk:Thailand Digital Arrival Card#Spam links from Thai Visa Centre. The user seems to be out of line and repeatedly makes accusations without sufficient evidence against several editors who attempted to participate in the AfD discussion of the article The Thaiger (see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Thaiger and the talkpage).
I am not related to Thailand, and since 2018 none of my contributions have been related to Thailand; they are entirely focused on Burmese topics. I have never edited The Thaiger article nor previous AfD. Plmoin2514 appears unhappy with the existence of The Thaiger on Wikipedia and repeatedly initiated AfD discussions. According to the edit history, this article was taken to AfD twice, after which the user became largely inactive.
However, the user has continued to make repeated accusations and personal attacks against editors involved in the previous AfD discussions, including the article creator and AfD participants. Rather than criticizing sources, the user focuses on attacking editors. They have accused me, @KhantWiki:, and the article creator @ManoiCMU: of being sockpuppets connected to The Thaiger, without providing evidence. They have also claimed that I am part of a sockpuppet group working to boost SEO for The Thaiger, which is funny.
I have repeatedly informed Plmoin2514 that if they believe I am a sockpuppet, they are free to report the matter at WP:SPI. Despite this, the accusations and personal attacks have continued. I am becoming increasingly frustrated and am unsure how to handle this situation. Could you please advise me on where and how I can file a report regarding this user’s behavior? Hteiktinhein (talk) 10:23, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Hteiktinhein: I have not read the situation but if what you assert is true, then your best bet would be Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents (ANI). Please read the instructions at the top of the page there before making a report. I have not read the situation so I have no opinion on who is right or wrong in this situation, I am not taking sides. Fork99 (talk) 10:38, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
- These are all sock puppets of Thai Visa Centre, who has been trying to vandalize Wikipedia for months to get spam backlinks to their TDAC arrival card scam websites. They are known to buy and sell sock puppet accounts on Reddit, Facebook as well. I'm leaving all their harassment and vandalism of my page and other pages so that future editors can document their abuse. Plmoin2514 (talk) 05:21, 21 December 2025 (UTC)

Walhalla Goldfields Railway article
Hi Fork,
In May 2025 you flagged the article Walhalla Goldfields Railway as missing citations, both inline and in general. I've had a crack at fixing it, let me know if that message can be removed now? I still have a few books to go through and I'll see about acquiring better sources, but I think it's probably the low end of OK-ish now.
Anothersignalman (talk) 17:23, 25 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Anothersignalman: Thanks for your efforts, I've had a quick look and I do agree that it looks better. In general, if you think the maintenance tags can be removed, then feel free to be bold and do it. Although there does appear to be a few unsourced statements still, if there's just a handful, you could just individually tag them with the citation needed template. Fork99 (talk) 23:20, 25 January 2026 (UTC)
- Done, and thanks Anothersignalman (talk) 07:56, 26 January 2026 (UTC)

Various page moves
Hi,
Just wanted to say thanks for converting my page moves into redirects :)
There's another batch of about 20 station articles that might need similar treatment, currently redlinked in the first two tables here - Walker railmotor#In service - though some of them might be redlinked because there is no article to go to. In those cases, would it make sense to generate a redirect towards the line articles as a stopgap?
Anothersignalman (talk) 08:16, 20 April 2026 (UTC)
- @Anothersignalman: Hey, I don't see why you can't just wikilink to the article directly without the comma disambiguation (if an article exists)? For example, link to Seymour railway station instead of Seymour railway station, Victoria and pipe the wikilink as needed?
- I mean otherwise, you can of course create the redirects manually? Creating a redirect doesn't require a page move. I didn't get that your intention was to create redirects with your page move summaries "
To match format of Australian railway stations in general
". Some more information about redirects and how to create them at Wikipedia:Redirect. Fork99 (talk) 00:25, 21 April 2026 (UTC)- When I set up the table I was trying to futureproof and avoid disambiguation pages. I hadn't thought to check for a policy page for the station names. I'd just picked up on the general vibe that adding the state/city had sort of emerged over time, so I figured someone, somewhere, had decided to make that the default and hadn't yet gotten around to the ones I thought I was fixing a few nights ago.
