Van der Graaf Generator é uma banda britânica seminal de rock progressivo formada em 1967.
O nome da banda foi inspirado no equipamento elétrico Gerador de Van de Graaff, projetado para produzir energia estática. Supõe-se que o erro de ortografia no nome – tem um "r" a mais e um "f" a menos – tenha sido acidental.
