Thank you for improving article quality in January! - 20 January is the 100th birthday of David Tudor (see my story) and the 300th birthday of Bach's cantata Meine Seufzer, meine Tränen, BWV 13, if we go by date instead of occasion as he would have thought, so see my story for last Sunday, and celebrate ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:55, 20 January 2026 (UTC)

Why can't the IEEE website prove it...
But it can??

All the sources I picked are highly reliable. Most are even third-party. Wikipedia seems to have issues with WP:NACADEMIC such as Draft:Raymond Brock (physicist) ~2026-31657-8 (talk) 23:15, 21 January 2026 (UTC)
- @~2026-31657-8, the source you gave above was about a Fellow named John. Searching for Brock here showed no result. SafariScribeEdits! Talk! 21:34, 22 January 2026 (UTC)

Request on 18:22:16, 2 February 2026 for assistance on AfC submission by Claire.massey
Hello, I am creating this page for a professor in my department (I have disclosed being paid for this work). The Professor was John Yin and in the denial, it listed two things as an issue:
- meet any of the eight academic-specific criteria
- or cite multiple reliable, secondary sources independent of the subject, which cover the subject in some depth
While I understand the reasons, it said or so I'm not sure what I should start with. I also kept the tone of the article neutral as best I could. He has made important contributions to research that I think are of merit for an article, including as a founding faculty of a University of Wisconsin-Madison hub for interdisciplinary research, the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery.
Is the problem the fact that some of the references are UW-Madison websites? I can try to look for different resources, but in such a large institution with a news resource and other policies, it's hard to find outside articles as they publish their own, so I'm looking for help. Thanks, Claire

Women in Green reviewing drive

Hello SafariScribe:
This month, February 2026, WikiProject Women in Green is participating in the February 2026 GAN Backlog Drive, in which we're aiming to review as many outstanding Good Article (GA) nominations about women and women's works as possible. If you want to help out, you can check out the project talk page for a list of nominations in need of review (including some WiG originals). If you haven't reviewed a GA nomination before, be sure to check out the reviewing instructions and guidelines and feel free to ask for a mentor to check your work.
We are also working together with a wikithon hosted on 5 February by Wikimedia UK, which will focus on writing and improving articles about women involved in sustainable development. If you want to join the event, feel free to sign up at the eventbrite page; or if you would be interested in providing a 20-minute assessment and/or a full GA review of the submitted articles in the weeks following, put your name down on the project talk page for updates as the event progresses.
We hope to see you there!
