My employer uses ZScaler as a web proxy to filter potential malicious content. My current public IP address through ZScaler is 136.226.67.81. There is an ongoing block for 136.226.0.0/16. This has happened multiple times before, and the solution is to allow me to bypass the block when logged in. I guess the previous whitelisting expired or was removed? I'm seeing that the original 2021 block for this IP range has a comment stating "(anon. only, account creation blocked)", but the latest block by user:izno from 25 June 2026 does not state that the block is for "anon. only". Does this possibly indicate that the block was misconfigured so as to block logged-in users as well as anonymous IPs? Rupert Clayton (talk) 19:11, 18 August 2026 (UTC)

See this archived conversation for confirmation that ZScaler ranges should be soft-blocked and not hard-blocked, so that logged-in users can still edit from these ranges. Rupert Clayton (talk) 19:33, 18 August 2026 (UTC)

I have removed the hard part of the block on that range. I am not particularly enthused that the discussion there did not consider that abuse does occur on Zscaler ranges from logged in accounts. Izno (talk) 23:14, 18 August 2026 (UTC)
