Second Corps Area was a Corps Area of the United States Army, active from 20 August 1920 to 7 December 1941. Its headquarters was located at Fort Jay at Governors Island in New York city. Its staff also served as the First Army Area headquarters staff. It covered the states of New York, New Jersey, and Delaware plus the island of Puerto Rico. At its height in 1943, the command had 50,749 soldiers.
