Garnik Asatrian (Teerã, 7 de março de 1953), é um iranologista, etnólogo, linguista e historiador armênio de origem iraniana.

Biografía

Asatrian nasceu em 7 de março de 1953 em Teerã e emigrou para Yerevan em 1968. Em 1976, graduou-se no Departamento de Estudos Curdos da Faculdade de Estudos Iranianos da Universidade Estadual de Yerevan. De 1977 a 1986, foi aluno de doutorado e depois professor titular no Instituto de Estudos Orientais da Academia Soviética de Ciências em Leningrado, na área de cultura e línguas iranianas antigas. Asatrian obteve um doutorado pela Universidade de Leningrado em 1984 e um doutorado de destaque em 1990 pela Academia Soviética de Ciências em Moscou.^[1]
