Emmanuel John Nchimbi is a Tanzanian diplomat and politician currently serving as the Vice-President of the United Republic of Tanzania. He previously served as the Minister of Home Affairs between 2012 and 2013 and as Member of Parliament for Songea Town constituency from 2010 to 2015. On 25 August 2026, he announced that he had submitted his resignation as Vice-President to President Samia Suluhu Hassan, with effect from 4 September 2026, saying that he intended to retire from politics and public service.
