DME, also known as bisnormacromerine or as 3,4-dimethoxy-β-hydroxyphenethylamine (β-hydroxy-3,4-DMPEA), is a psychoactive drug of the phenethylamine and BOx families. It is the β-hydroxy derivative of 3,4-dimethoxyphenethylamine, which is an analogue of mescaline.
