Apple TV is a line of digital media players developed and manufactured by Apple Inc. Similarly to competing devices, they are capable of playing media content streamed from online services, compatible devices over a local network, and stored on the device's internal storage. Since 2015, Apple TV devices run tvOS, an operating system derived from iOS that uses a 10-foot user interface optimized for televisions. They can also serve as a home hub for the Apple Home smart home platform.
