Andrey Atanasov Gyurov[a] (Bulgarian: Андрей Атанасов Гюров, born December 31, 1975) is a Bulgarian politician who served as Prime Minister of Bulgaria in 2026, leading a caretaker government. Currently a political independent, he previously served as Deputy Governor of the Bulgarian National Bank from 2023 to 2026 and Member of the National Assembly from 2021 to 2023.
Biography
Gyurov has been serving as a deputy governor of the Bulgarian National Bank since 2023.[1] From 2021 to 2023, he was a member of the National Assembly.[2] Prior to becoming Prime Minister, Gyurov worked as a Business Professor in the American University in Bulgaria.[3] On 11 February 2026, President Iliana Iotova nominated Gyurov as caretaker prime minister pending the 2026 Bulgarian parliamentary election.[4] He was formally appointed the next week.[5]
