Page protection
Extending my response to your request on my Talk page, I don't understand your request for page protection in this case. Page Protection is not a way to freeze a particular page version - rather, it is an exceptional measure (and not one that a new user would normally invoke). WP:RPP summarises thus: "Full protection is used to stop edit warring between multiple users or to prevent vandalism to high-risk templates; semi-protection and pending changes are usually used to prevent IP and new user vandalism (see the rough guide to semi-protection); and move protection is used to stop pagemove revert wars." The history of Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie shows none of these characteristics, and in practical terms, if the page had already been protected, its impact would have been to prevent the edits by an IP on the 22nd-23rd and your own on the 25th, which doesn't seem your likely intention? Hi PawPatroler! I noticed that you recently made an edit at Western Maryland Scenic Railroad and marked it as "minor", but it may not have been. "Minor edit" has a specific definition on Wikipedia: it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. Tenshi! (Talk page) 19:42, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Pepper II. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Referentis (talk) 21:50, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
Thank you for contributing to the article Pepper II. However, please do not use unreliable sources such as blogs, wikis, personal websites, and websites and publications with a poor reputation for checking the facts or with no editorial oversight. These sources may express views that are widely acknowledged as pushing a particular point-of-view, sometimes even extremist, being promotional in nature, or relying heavily on rumors and personal opinions. One of Wikipedia's core policies is that contributions must be verifiable through reliable sources, preferably using inline citations. Hi PawPatroler! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Soñadoras several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Soñadoras, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. –Novem Linguae (talk) 21:49, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
User-generated sourcing
IMDB and GameFAQs are unreliable WP:USERGENERATED sources, IMDB per WP:IMDB and GameFAQs per WP:VG/RS. Please don't use them as sources in articles. Waxworker (talk) 15:52, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
- I second this. Please use reliable secondary sources such as newspapers and books. –Novem Linguae (talk) 18:10, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
- Please stop edit warring. Experienced editors are trying to let you know good ways to edit. You should follow our feedback instead of ignoring us. Please stop creating citations to IMDB. –Novem Linguae (talk) 21:53, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
Xiahou Dun
Hi PawPatroller. It looks like you disagreed with and reverted a recent edit I made over on the Xiahou Dun article in the Defence of Yan Province section. I've created a topic on that article's talk page explaining why I felt the edit was necessary. I'm hoping you can head over there and give some input on what you disagreed with in the edit so we can figure out something that works. Thank you! River Peasant (talk) 23:48, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
- PawPatroler, you have again reverted one of my edits on the Xiahou Dun article with the same copy-pasted "not an improvement" note without providing any actual explanation or input in the talk section. The only changes I made in that edit were adding three internal links and captializing one proper noun. I cannot for the life of me think of why this edit would've needed reverting. You need to explain yourself, please. Your reversions are clearly disruptive at this point. River Peasant (talk) 01:30, 2 June 2025 (UTC)
- I'm sorry! I was just reverting your edits, as I didn't think they were helpful. Can you forgive me? PawPatroler (talk) 01:32, 2 June 2025 (UTC)
- That still is not an explanation. Please explain what is not helpful about adding internal links to locations mentioned in the article, or capitalizing a proper noun. Because those were those only changes I made in the edit you reverted. River Peasant (talk) 01:57, 2 June 2025 (UTC)
- Just to add, for the record, I found River Peasant's edits helpful. PawPatroler, your revert put the Cao Cao linkage back in the wrong place, removed the Turban linkage, removed the links to two provinces. There was no need to revert what had been an effective administrative clean up that contained no errors and nor do the explanations you give help any of the users reading it understand the logic behind your revert. It is good you have moved on from you think they aren't improvements but it is still a lacklustre explanation.
- It is great you are so eager PawPatroler, but you have been here a week and got into what seems to be multiple warnings of edit warring. This can lead to, as highlighted in the June 2025 comment link, a ban from editing at all if the admins find you have been disruptive. Maybe take a breath and consider reversions and edits with more care, that it needs to be beyond your personal preference? DongZhuo3kingdoms (talk) 07:24, 2 June 2025 (UTC)

Do not close move discussions
You are not in a position in this project to close move discussions, as you did with Henry Sheldon (educator). As it stands, you only fulfilled half of the request, leaving a mess to be cleaned up. It generally takes years for an editor to have enough experience to close discussions posted to official discussion boards. BD2412 T 03:01, 31 May 2025 (UTC)

Hey, I noticed you reverted my corrective change to the Combat Support Hospital article. Can I ask why and how to go about the correction? I'm new to Wikipedia editing; I saw an error and I corrected it. I really don't see the necessity of the reversion and I'd like to use this as an opportunity to learn more about the process.

Hauenstein Brewing Company Edits
Hi PawPatroler, this was likely a mistake on my part, my sincerest apologies. Usually I leave small edit summaries but I must have not on this one. Before when I was editing the Hauenstein Brewing Company page before it got published I was not able to save any of the progress, so I had to re-do a lot of the edits which never got saved once the page was published. I will include these from now on. Thanks. 108.59.60.232 (talk) 19:52, 4 June 2025 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to move pages to bad titles contrary to naming conventions or consensus, as you did at Wii U, you may be blocked from editing. Keep in mind, this is the third or fourth page move you've done in the past 24 hours that has been reverted. --ThomasO1989 (talk) 05:35, 2 June 2025 (UTC)

I noticed that a message you recently left to Msmimiin may have been unduly harsh. Please remember not to bite the newcomers. If you see others making a common mistake, consider politely pointing out what they did wrong and showing them how to correct it. It may take some time, but it helps us retain new editors. WP:AN
Hello, PawPatroler,
You came across a User page that was a little promotional. This is VERY common. Sometimes these User pages are deleted as CSD U5s, other times we let them be. But why, on Earth, did you think that it needed the attention of the entire administrator community that you opened a complaint on AN? Patrollers come across pages like this all of the time, the editor had only made 2 edits, it would have been more appropriate if you had posted them a Welcome message and invitation to the Teahouse which is what I did. On a scale of 1 to 10 on urgency, this would have been a -50. Please do not open complaints on AN unless it's an urgent situation and, in that case, you should open it at WP:ANI, not WP:AN. This page didn't require for administrator attention.
If you have questions about my messages, I encourage you to bring them to Wikipedia:Teahouse where experienced editors can offer you a second opinion. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 04:59, 4 June 2025 (UTC)
- PawPatroler, I read your entire User page and you have a helluva lot of warning notices for a brand new editor who has only been active for about a week. This is more than some editors get after editing for 2 years. I would slow down NOW. I wouldn't normally warn a new editor about the chance of being blocked but you have made quite a lot of mistakes in a short period of time. Liz Read! Talk! 05:07, 4 June 2025 (UTC)

I want to change her name to Elayna Black on the page name because since leaving WWE in May 2025 thats what she goes under now i also wanted to change a photo to an updated photo of her now in 2025 and a photo that actually is relevant since it's under her new name but i couldn't figure out how to change the actual page name and it wouldn't let me update the photo could you help? Pending-Changes Reviewer
I understand that my previous request was denied, but you should give me a second chance; I have welcome many new users to the Teahouse, and have just made an edit on Wikipedia:Pending changes/Testing/1. Also, I have gotten less warning over the following weeks. Pending-changes can help me understand new users, and welcome them to said teahouse. It is up to you on how you want to answer, but I highly recommend it. I've left a message here, so you can answer there as well.--PawPatroler (talk) 06:59, 14 June 2025 (UTC)
Gachas
His "content removal" on the article was explained, and the explanation was valid. I pointed this out, and then you reverted my edit... without explanation. I'm presuming your insistence on this is now an ego thing; it's not needed. Thank you. Swinub★ 17:25, 15 June 2025 (UTC)
- Your revert here on the Ella Enchanted (film) article was also of an edit that was an improvement, despite your edit summary claiming that it was not. Hugh Dancy should not have been linked twice in the lead, and "fan convention" was more accurate. Looking through your talk page, you've been warned about this enough times in the past few weeks to take the cue to step back from reverts. Swinub★ 18:48, 15 June 2025 (UTC)
Final warning
Hello, I'm Serge, an Admin here on Wikipedia. I'm seeing a lot of complaints and warnings here, and I'm quite concerned that you don't really seem to be addressing them, or changing your conduct. Your most recent edits as of writing this, at Gachas, doesn't instill any confidence - the reverts don't make any sense, and lack common sense.
Final warning - any more reckless edits or disregarding of the warnings on this talk page, and your account will be temporarily blocked from editing. Please slow down, take more time to learn how the website works, and be more careful before doing knee-jerk reverts of others edits. Sergecross73 msg me 16:42, 17 June 2025 (UTC)

Making sure you saw this, as you have not responded, but have proposed multiple rejected page protection requests on the same day, which doesn't make me think you're taking the time to slow down and learn how the website works as I requested above. - I was about to block you for this edit, but I see you technically did it just prior to committing to stopping, so I won't. But its still concerning none the less - this request doesn't make any sense. Its rather clear you don't understand when its appropriate to protect pages, so please stop with the requests.
- If there's another rejected protection request, or another rejected pending changes request (3 rejected requests in 2 weeks is unacceptable) then your account will be temporarily blocked from editing. You are on the thinnest of ice. You need to be worrying about learning the basics of editing, not these more advanced sorts of things. Please spend your time doing things like learning WP:5P or completing the the WP:WIKIPEDIAADVENTURE. You need to focus on not getting blocked, not this advanced stuff. Can I ask you why undo my edit RealCaucasian (talk) 19:20, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
- PawPatroler I also want to know why. You initially left them an WP:Image use policy warning, which is clearly not what they did, and then you said "I just didn't understand what you were doing." The fact you erased it afterwards does not instill confidence. This seems like yet another impulsive revert without even attempting to understand why the edits were made, which you have been warned about multiple times. ThomasO1989 (talk) 20:07, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
- I just didn't know what they were doing; I merely thought it was vandalism. PawPatroler (talk) 22:32, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
- That's not grounds to revert someone. Just because you "don't understand it" doesn't automatically make it vandalism. You've used similar flimsy excuses ("I didn't think it was useful") for reverting people in the past. Why didn't you first ask what the intended meaning was? ThomasO1989 (talk) 23:19, 29 June 2025 (UTC)

Clausurae de-PROD
Hi, I noticed you removed the PROD tag on Clausurae, saying "It is not uncontroversial at all." in the edit summary, but I was wondering what your specific issues with the PROD were - this seems rather vague. ScalarFactor (talk) 22:56, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
- I don't need to explained pre WP:PROD; it states that editors are encouraged, but not required to say why they opposed it. PawPatroler (talk) 22:59, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
- Yes, WP:DEPROD states that you do not need to provide a reason while removing a PROD tag, but as the nominator I wanted to know what objections you had to it, which is why I am asking- in case it gets nominated at AfD, for instance. ScalarFactor (talk) 23:05, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
- I've reverted the removal. The fact you reverted someone and can't even bother explaining why shows a grave lack of consideration, common sense, and respect. ThomasO1989 (talk) 23:32, 29 June 2025 (UTC)

List of operatic pop artists
First of all, some of the entries on the list don't even have Wikipedia entries. Those at least need to be removed until someone comes up with articles for them.
Classical Crossover UK is a website that contains information about notable operatic pop/classical crossover performers. These are some female vocalists in the genre: https://www.classical-crossover.co.uk/artprofiles/female-vocalists.html These are some male vocalists in the genre: https://www.classical-crossover.co.uk/artprofiles/male-vocalists.html These are some vocal groups: https://www.classical-crossover.co.uk/artprofiles/vocal-groups.html
The Classical Crossover UK website mentions about musical conventions of the genre: https://www.classical-crossover.co.uk/help/utrophy-faq/142.html
The Classical Crossover UK website explains that certain artists are debatable and explains why some vocalists are featured on their website and others are not: https://www.classical-crossover.co.uk/articles/submitting-an-artist/145.html
I've been using the Classical Crossover UK's website as a guide for the list.
For newer performers in the genre, I go by this website as a guide: https://crossovermusicmagazine.com/ 108.57.81.103 (talk) 00:45, 3 July 2025 (UTC)

This edit summary doesn't make any sense. The alternate name is sourced in the very first sentence in the article. Sergecross73 msg me 01:13, 4 July 2025 (UTC)
This edit you've made twice now does not make any sense. You should not be ripping text straight from fan wikis. And per WP:LEAD it should be summarizing the article. You can't rip an intro written for another article and hope it does a good job of summarizing this one. And it fails to address the "lead too short" tag, as its not substantially more detailed.
Very disappointed to see you seemed to last 0 of 7 days of your self-imposed Wiki-break. At this rate, you'll probably find your account temporarily blocked from editing. Sergecross73 msg me 20:33, 7 July 2025 (UTC)

- Okay. While it is voluntary, you need to change your approach to Wikipedia immediately. You've got to stop editing out of your league like this. Far too much of your time on Wikipedia appears to be you jumping into something you don't understand and then doubling down and continuing to do it when you're told you're incorrect. Sergecross73 msg me 21:12, 7 July 2025 (UTC)
What is the meaning of this edit? Why would you capitalized normal mode but not other ones, like "easy mode"? And why the hidden warning? Sergecross73 msg me 00:51, 13 July 2025 (UTC)
- Let me explain; "Normal" mode is referred to as "Normal" with a captain "N" in game; the reason why I put that invisible comment was just to inform other editors not to change the captain "N" back to "n". PawPatroler (talk) 00:56, 13 July 2025 (UTC)
- Right, but what is the point of capitalizing here in the encyclopedia? What's the significance? Why does it matter? And why capitalize only one of the modes? Sergecross73 msg me 01:10, 13 July 2025 (UTC)
- So at least it is properly referring to the modes with "capitall" letters, instead of just throwing in lossy "lower-case" letters. Also, I have updating the page with more than just mode by the time of this comment. PawPatroler (talk) 01:18, 13 July 2025 (UTC)
- That solves the consistency issue, but I'm still confused on your insistence on portraying these generic terms as proper nouns. The article has been a WP:GA for almost a decade, and it was lowercase at the time of its passing. Is this really an issue? Sergecross73 msg me 02:48, 13 July 2025 (UTC)

Blocked
I'm sorry, but after reviewing your edits for a lengthy bit of time, alongside the long amount of complaints and warnings on your talk page, I do not believe you're ready to be editing Wikipedia. I've asked you to slow down and learn how the website works, but you can't seem to stop rushing into things you don't understand and making bad edits. This one is the deal breaker - why would you go and make a move during an active move discussion? I'm sure the answer is that "you didn't know that was wrong". But that's the problem. Over and over again you keep doing things like this. Instead of just doing basic editing, you keep wading into new areas to make new edits that aren't appropriate. And other needs to clean it up. And you've received multiple warnings about bad page moves in the past too.
Right now, I'm blocking you for 1 month. Honestly, I'm not sure that enough time for you to change your ways. But I'll give you a shot. If you mess up after that, it'll be far longer of a block. Sergecross73 msg me 15:21, 14 July 2025 (UTC)

Okay. The reason why I got blocked was because I was editing disruptive. I understand that wandering into pages you don't understand can cause trouble, not just me, but also others. I will instead go into pages I do understand, and if I don't understand I can ask. I will not make any more disruption anymore, and I will be more carefully with my edits. I will do thought-out useful contributions instead. You should unblock me, as I now understand why I got blocked. Re: Sonic Classic Collection
Responding here because you emailed me regarding this revert. Here's what you wrote to me:
The reason why I removed the word "thus" in the Sonic Classic Collection article is due to said word being too distracting. Can you revert your own revert please, now that I've explained my "word removal"?
While I can understand that "thus" could be unnecessary, you cited WP:NPOV in your original edit summary. Do you understand what WP:NPOV means? It feels too similar to how you inexplicably cited WP:Image use policy as rationale for one of your reverts. This doesn't instill confidence for potential unblocking administrators that you're slowing down and taking the time to understand Wikipedia. I suspect it's growing into a deeper WP:CIR issue. Unblock request

PawPatroler, if you haven't figured it out yet, unblock requests need to be done on your talk page, not through email, and it needs to be an Admin, a non-Admin does not have the access or ability to unblock you. You don't need to be reaching out to anyone, there are certain patrolling Admin who will come and check unblock requests when you have one active on your talk page, as Yamla did above.
Please read WP:UNBLOCK and WP:GAB if you need further assistance. Though honestly, I recommend taking some time away from Wikipedia. You're not ready to be editing Wikipedia, and you're not likely to persuade anyone this block was a mistake. The way you've handled requesting an unblock (incorrectly) mirrors the all the same reasons you're blocked in the first place. Sergecross73 msg me 13:22, 16 July 2025 (UTC)

Okay. The reason why I got blocked was because I was editing disruptive. I understand that wandering into pages you don't understand can cause trouble, not just me, but also others. PawPatrol, I highly recommend stepping away from Wikipedia (logging out) until your block expires. Afterall, you have promised over and over to take a "Wikibreak", and this is the perfect time to do that. Emailing everyone about unblocking you is simply not a good look, and you're exhausting their patience. Just wait out the month, or you risk getting blocked indefinitely. If anything, take the time to read up on Wikipedia policies, which you do not need editing privileges for. --ThomasO1989 (talk) 16:17, 16 July 2025 (UTC)

IP users (without an account): If you do not have an account and wish to bypass this block, an account can be created to allow you to edit. In general, these blocks only prevent users who are not logged in from editing; once you are logged in, the block will no longer affect you in any way. To request an account, simply click here and follow the directions provided on the page. It is important that you use an e-mail address issued to you by your ISP, school, or organisation, so we may verify that you are a legitimate user. When filling out the account request form, please refer to this block in the "comments" input field. If you've been instructed to request an account via email, please refer to this block in your message.
Registered users (with an account): Please make sure you are logged in to your account. If you are unable to edit while logged in, you may request IP block exemption to bypass blocks unconnected with you that affect your editing. Post an unblock request to your user talk page.Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. Who are you talking about? I'm not a sock puppet; I have only one account, and I don't know who Kirby682. The technical evidence does show disruptive logged out edits, as well as a connection to Kirby682. Not an admin who can unblock you, but even if you weren't a sock puppet, it's clear you have no intention of listening to anyone. You were told multiple times to not email other users to unblock you, yet you kept doing it. You don't respond to anything on this page until there are tangible consequences. And you opened yet another unblock request just to complain about the block, not to address the things that led to your block in the first place. Don't be surprised when an admin revokes your talk page access. --ThomasO1989 (talk) 23:02, 16 July 2025 (UTC)

PawPatroler, you were warned already about duplicate unblock requests. You've gone and copied and pasted your unblock request yet again. I can't tell if WP:CIR applies (the earlier block indicates it does) or if you are trolling. Either way, I think we've reached the natural conclusion here. --Yamla (talk) 23:17, 16 July 2025 (UTC)

The fact was ... that Edward L. Molineux seized goods worth $210 million in 2025 from the Confederacy during the American Civil War? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Edward L. Molineux. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Edward L. Attempted Meatpuppetry
As if all of the above wasn't enough, this user has now started trying to recruit meatpuppets on other wikis. They signed up at our wiki earlier today and sent e-mails to five separate accounts with the exact same message that was posted above. – Robin Hood (talk) 19:26, 2 April 2026 (UTC)
- Yes, that was a previous tactic they employed after the initial block, but it seems they've started doing so anew as of late. A user from another wiki I manage was also e-mailed with the same appeal earlier today. I don't think there's anything to be done; it's not like anyone they're e-mailing has the power to do anything about their ban, and no one getting cold-called like this would likely be swayed to help to begin with. Block, ignore, and move on. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 17:42, 5 April 2026 (UTC)
- Yeah, I'd only skimmed the page at first, but after I posted, I noticed other mentions of them using the tactic on other wikis. Very bizarre! As you say, we just blocked them and moved on. – Robin Hood (talk) 21:48, 5 April 2026 (UTC)
- For the record they just emailed me on splatoonwiki.org. Here the email content:
Okay, if you can't unblock my "PawPatroler" account on Wikipedia, can you get an administer on Wikipedia with the text "Okay. Can you at least let me edit my own sandbox, so I can do basic editing like you said before... so I can learn from my sandbox while being blocked from editing from all other pages. Can you unblock me from my sandbox please?" as my unblock request, please?
It's moon (talk) 04:08, 6 April 2026 (UTC)- They have also previously vandalized Agentpedia too, and even moved a disambiguation page to one which includes a racial slur in the title. Thankfully, an automod filter was added to ban any new user who immediately tries to move a page (since that was the first thing the kid would do on every sock puppet account he created, and most new users typically don't know how to move pages), and surprisingly, it worked for quite a while. While he did unfortunately find a way to bypass the filter on one of his accounts and ended up vandalizing parts of the main page on it, I ended up solving that by simply locking more pages and templates on the site.
- When I decided to check the information on each of his accounts, I noticed he used the same email address for each of them, so I emailed the kid telling him to stop trying to bypass the automod, but he started accusing me of "harassing" him (which is ironic coming from him). When I sent him the proof of him vandalizing pages using alt accounts with his e-mail attached to it, he ended up ghosting me. Though even after ghosting me, he still attempted to bypass the automod once again until Konnor88 (the owner of the wiki) decided to install the email blacklist extension, after being suggested it by me. The kid has thankfully not attempted to vandalized pages on the site since February of 2026. MadCreeper7611 (talk) 00:05, 29 May 2026 (UTC)
Note from a Wikipedia Admin
- To PawPatroler
These is no path forward for you to be unblocked from Wikipedia at this time. No amount of asking on other websites, emailing people requests, or other forms of badgering random people is going to change that. IF you haven't been banned from WP:UTRS yet, you may be able to ask for an unblock request in a few years, but right now, there is zero chance for a successful unblock. You need to step away and find a new hobby for a while.
- To other editors
- We do not need to know or track that PawPatroller contacted you on another website or email address. It serves Wikipedia Admin no purpose to know things like that. There is a zero percent chance that this approach leads to them being unblocked, so all you need to do is ignore it. There is no benefit to tracking or reporting this, so please don't waste your time.
- If you believe Pawpatroller is actively editing Wikipedia under another account, please file a WP:SPI report and/or ask me to look into it, and I will. Feel free to ask me questions on my talk page as well.
Thanks. Sergecross73 msg me 19:44, 29 May 2026 (UTC)
