Conflict of interest on Draft:Design.com
Hi,
I have been asked to assist Design.com with the process of getting a proper Wikipedia article written about the company, but this is not something I have been hired to do, my assistance has been sought because of my experience on Wikipedia (and their lack of it).
As an editor of more than twenty years, it is most certainly not my intention to try to get an article onto Wikipedia about a subject which I do not genuinely believe to be a fitting topic under the GNG. Stormie (talk) 04:39, 8 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hello @Stormie; to be clear, it's still a conflict of interest/paid issue even if you weren't specifically hired to work on the Wikipedia articles. I'll send you an email to further clarify this. Moneytrees🏝️(Talk) 21:13, 10 December 2025 (UTC)

Arbitration motion regarding Pbsouthwood
The Committee resolves by motion:
Given Pbsouthwood (talk · contribs)'s absence from editing, the case is accepted and suspended for a period of three months, Pbsouthwood is temporarily blocked from the Article namespace, and is temporarily desysopped.
Should Pbsouthwood return to the English Wikipedia during this time and request that this case be resumed, the Arbitration Committee shall unsuspend the case by motion and it will proceed through the normal arbitration process. Such a request may be made by email to arbcom-en
wikimedia.org or at the clerks' noticeboard. Pbsouthwood will remain temporarily blocked and desysopped for the duration of the case.
If such a request is not made within three months of this motion, this case shall be automatically closed, and Pbsouthwood shall remain blocked from the Article namespace and desysopped. Pbsouthwood may regain the administrative tools only via a successful request for adminship or administrator election. The block can be appealed at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Clarification and Amendment.

Happy holidays!
Ted, another year, and so much has changed. I can tell you are enjoying returning to copyright matters, though I reserve the right to pester you about going for round two—I would love to serve alongside you. I said you left massive shoes when you departed ArbCom, and if can be a fraction of the arb you were, I would call that a great success. Thank you for all the work you have done in the past year, from copyright to koivert to CheckUser to content to getting me some additional half-siblings, and of course, thank you for the support you have given me throughout the year—from at ACE to my newbie questions at CP. All the best for you and yours in 2026 :)

Suggested lost of talk page privileges of a user.
Hello, I noticed you blocked a user called Rainbow Dash 7eh.
It is most likely a sockpuppet account, since this user may be associated with a pattern of username My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic and has been editing pages about iPhones.
I suggest you take away their talk page privilege just as a caution, because they misuse their talk page when they get blocked.
If this is private information, feel free to delete the history of this message. BoxOfThings123 (talk) 13:39, 22 December 2025 (UTC)

Wikipedia Contibutor Question
Hi Ted. My name is Justin Thomas. I found you on "Zeze by Kodak Black's" wikipedia page. I am credited as the songwriter on there. If interested, I am wondering what does it cost you to create a wikipedia page for myself? I have a few notable song/music credits but never got around to putting it all in one place. I am not familiar with wikipedia so Im not sure how to receive a response in case you do. But I do look forward to your response.
Best,

Married To Medicine Episode Descriptions
Hi, The write-ups I added come from the network and they live on the IMDB page. I've noticed that some of the older seasons that I did not contribute to also have these same summaries copied over, so I figured it was OK. The only way to contribute summaries to these episodes is to re-write them? TNT79 (talk) 19:16, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hey @TNT79, sorry for the delay in response; yeah, we can't use official/IMDB episode summaries, as they're copyrighted, unfortunately. I can't tell if the other plot summaries were added before or after the IMDB summaries (much like Wikipedia, anyone can add plot summaries to IMDB at any time, so they could've copied us instead of us copying them. Sorry for the hassle; let me know if you have any other questions. Moneytrees🏝️(Talk) 22:54, 24 January 2026 (UTC)

20 January is the 100th birthday of David Tudor (see my story) and the 300th birthday of Bach's cantata Meine Seufzer, meine Tränen, BWV 13, if we go by date instead of occasion as he would have thought, so see my story for last Sunday, and celebrate ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:01, 20 January 2026 (UTC)

Suharto
Hi there, could you take a look at Suharto? I noticed some persistent POV-pushing on the article by several WP:SPA accounts. While digging further, I believe these are likely sockpuppets; I noted a previous report you made at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Ruthie Ann Miles that appears related. These accounts include Mazdak Asgary, UangPohon, JPandin, etc. I may be missing a few more which has not yet appeared. Aleain (talk) 20:07, 5 February 2026 (UTC)
- Added AbbyPhung, which has not yet edited on Suharto but on Siti Hardiyanti Rukmana, his daughter, and consistent with all these other accounts. Aleain (talk) 20:13, 5 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Aleain Thanks for reporting. I'm pretty sure AbbyPhung is Ruthie Ann; as a checkuser, I can't say the other three are directly related to Ruthie Ann, but they all have rather suspicious technical details (never mind their behavior on the Suharto article). So I've blocked them all, too. Note JPandin's odd note about "Removing Zionist propaganda" on their user page and this silly, strange outburst from one of Ruthie's socks. Requesting your experience
Hi Moneytrees, regarding this SPI, I believe a user that has recently been editing People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran exhibits similar characteristics to the documented behavior in this case. Notably: gnomery around academics, potential wholesale translation of wiki pages, minor edits en masse (such as this bizarre sequence , repeated across other articles), and citing sources or providing quotes of questionable relevance (I responded to one instance of this here:)
This is just a hunch I developed after skimming through some of the talk archives, so I thought I would let you know instead of opening an investigation myself, given your experience tracking these behavioral patterns. DiodotusNicator (talk) 09:30, 31 January 2026 (UTC)
- @DiodotusNicator Yes, a few other functionaries have noted issues with that account. They're blocked now. Moneytrees🏝️(Talk) 20:03, 31 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you. DiodotusNicator (talk) 20:43, 31 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi again @Moneytrees, I have found myself in a dispute on another WP:CT/IRP talk page with an editor exhibiting similar characteristics. They don't seem to write in the same way as PatriceON so I am hesitant to believe they are part of the same sock ring, but nonetheless I think a checkuser is warranted given:
- they are now edit-gaming to reach ECR:
- past sprees of minor edits en masse:
- seems to be a single purpose account potentially tied to the MEK, as almost all of their mainspace edits have been to an Iranian official allegedly linked to the MEK or attempting to scrub mention of Reza Pahlavi from the infobox of 2025–2026 Iranian protests (>48hrs of edit warring over this documented here ). The rest of their edits seem to be the aforementioned trivial edit sprees.

Question about how to use the Wikipedia Library
Hi Moneytrees! I hope you're doing well.
I'd like to use the Wikipedia Library resources when I edit a Wikipedia article. For example, today I used ancestry.com to find the birth date for Louise Stokes Hunter, which I'd like to add to Louise Stokes Hunter - Wikipedia. However, when I attempt to add the reference link Ella (Louise) Stokes Hunter Dr, it is not allowed. How can I make the link an allowable reference? I've also attempted to use JSTOR in the Wikipedia Library and found the same issue. Thanks for your work with Wikipedia!Polymath Want To Be (talk) 12:37, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
- Hello @Polymath Want To Be, from what I understand, an Edit filter is preventing you from adding the link. I think that's because Ancestry.com itself isn't considered a reliable source, although the (primary) documents it might have are considered reliable. WP:ANCESTRY explains it a bit; I hope that clears things up? Sorry for the delay in responding, I haven't had much time for Wikipedia lately! Moneytrees🏝️(Talk) 23:35, 23 March 2026 (UTC)
- I understand what you're saying. In my case, every time I attempt to use a reference obtained from the Wikipedia Library (for example, I used Ancestry in my previous note to you, another source I've tried to use is JSTOR), the URL I get contains Wikipedia Library in it, and an error message is returned as follows:
- Help:CS1 errors
- Wikipedia Library link in
<param>- This error is reported when a URL-holding parameter has a URL that links to The Wikipedia Library. These urls include this text:
wikipedialibrary.idm.oclc.org
- So I currently cannot use the Wikipedia Library because I don't know how to get a usable URL Any help would be appreciated. I understand you're busy, so no problem if you have to delay in answering. I hope all is well with you and your family.
- Cheers! Polymath Want To Be (talk) 00:40, 24 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Polymath Want To Be, this is happening because you're copy-pasting the proxy link generated by TWL, rather than using the actual link of the source. For JSTOR, there should be a permalink or DOI on the page that makes this easier - just copy and paste that instead of the URL your browser is pointed towards. -- asilvering (talk) 00:42, 24 March 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you very much. I see the permalink or DOI. I'm now in business!
- Have a great day!!!Polymath Want To Be (talk) 00:58, 24 March 2026 (UTC)

I'm very grateful for your recent work on what appears to be part of a sock farm. This kind of work ensures Wikipedia remains a project worth volunteering time and effort for. I'm grateful to you. DN (talk) 21:43, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
- No problem @DN. To answer your question on User talk:Fenharrow, yes they were blocked as part of the SPI on their userpage. I’m sorry this wasn’t caught sooner; their comment towards you about their supposed nationality was very dishonest and petty. Moneytrees🏝️(Talk) 01:31, 12 April 2026 (UTC)
Your detection ability is scary
Hi @Moneytrees! Apologies for the clickbait title. I came across this, which made me do a triple take as I'm actually familiar with that editor from an older ARCA case. I was naturally led to this and I was blown away. Your ability to spot behavioural patterns amongst almost 100,000 edits is incredible! I don't know if I'm allowed to comment on an SPI like this, so feel free to trout if that is the case. I just wanted to say your detection ability should make anybody thinking of trying to sockpuppet a bit fearful! 11WB (talk) 12:06, 13 April 2026 (UTC)
- It's no problem to leave a compliment, @11WB (: ! But really, I can't take too much of the credit; someone else on the SPI team who has very good (the best?) sock detection skills speculated about a connection, and all I did was find and assemble the evidence. I wouldn't have thought to look had it not been for the initial connection that person made. Moneytrees🏝️(Talk) 17:17, 13 April 2026 (UTC)
Question
Hello, I hope all is well. What is CUwiki? I was looking at the sockpuppet case involving that Papa character cuz I had interactions with the Ilj account at Talk:Temple Israel synagogue attack and Talk:2026 Pawtucket shooting and while I disagreed with them on both, I didn't suspect a thing, and I've just never heard of CUwiki before. Raskuly (talk) 15:17, 13 April 2026 (UTC)
- Hello @Raskuly, Cuwiki is shorthand for the Checkuser Wiki, where CUs keep technical notes on sockmasters and such. Since there's private data on there, only checkusers can access it. Me mentioning it at the sock case is basically me going "there's some more info that I can't share publicly here". Moneytrees🏝️(Talk) 17:10, 13 April 2026 (UTC)
