If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:
- Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
- Provide a new username.
To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. If you are having trouble, you may want to try using the unblock wizard.
Before requesting a new username, check if it is still available. If the search says "There is no global account for [username]", the username is free to use.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Request reason:
I would just want to start by apologizing on my end. I did give some of those pages a bit of a read-over briefly, but otherwise, I am not too familiar with all the rules on here.
I do have a limited association with the promotion. I do volunteer work for them, setting up at events sometimes. Another gentleman made the page for them quite a few years ago. But he stopped editing it. When this was brought to my attention, I offered to update it on a voluntary basis. I'm not receiving any compensation for doing so.
I simply tried to follow the example set out by the past editors. It has been a learning process.. I am willing to change my name though. I did have another account that I was using to edit it for roughly a year. But I forgot my password.
I'm just looking to record the results. I'm not looking to project any bias. So, if you would be kind enough to let me know what must be done to remedy this issue, I will gladly take those steps.
