Articles for Creation backlog drive

Hello Losipov:
WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in August!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than a month of outstanding reviews from the current 3+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 August 2026 through 31 August 2026.
You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.
Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 5000 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:37, 19 July 2026 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Palazzo del Comune when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Specifying |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= needs to be defined in the template in order to work. You can look at the documentation for the template being used, but it is also helpful to use the preview button before saving an edit; this helps find any errors that have been made and ensures that the values added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is highly recommended that editors use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions of if I can help explain further, please let me know! You can also contact the help desk for assistance.

- @Zackmann08: Thank you for the help and comments! I just checked those pages and they seem to be fixed. Yeah I could see how that might cause issues. I think I was more confused with the infobox translation when I was bringing them over from the Italian Wikipedia, and what parameters did/didn't belong. For example, the "vector" infobox parameter was one in which I did not know whether to keep or exclude it.
- I'll try to be more careful when I bring more stuff over from other language wikis. Thank you again for the comment! Losipov (talk) 14:22, 14 August 2026 (UTC)
- To be clear, you are doing GREAT work! Just gotta double check things. WP:PREVIEW is your friend. You will get red Preview warning:... messages at the top of the page when there are invalid parameters. Keep up the good work. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 21:36, 14 August 2026 (UTC)
- You have done this one again at Palazzo Albrizzi. PLEASE start checking your edits... Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 02:31, 21 August 2026 (UTC)
- @Zackmann08 I just saw the revision you did (thanks for that btw), and I'm honestly a little surprised that it brought over all of those fields listed in the infobox. When I was making the infobox in Content Translation, I didn't put all of those fields in them; I'm not sure why they are showing up all of a sudden. I assume another editor put them in? I'm not too sure.
- By the way, if I may ask: I decided to install that script you made for doing those types of edits, but how does it exactly work? Is it automatically done, or does it only provide the option if there's a problem? I'm curious as to how it operates. I definitely feel like it'd help to some extent.
- Anyways, thank you again for the help! And apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. Losipov (talk) 14:25, 21 August 2026 (UTC)

Your edits are becoming disruptive. You have been warned multiple times about the need to use preview to check your edits, yet you continue to introduce unknown parameters into articles. You did this again at Ferenc Deák Bridge when you modified the page. Please understand that while you may not find these edits a problem, they do cause issues for those attempting to clean up pages and prevent vandalism. Please respond to this message and acknowledge that you better monitor your edits moving forward. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 04:46, 23 August 2026 (UTC)
- @Zackmann08 First, thanks for catching and removing the pushpin map parameter. I realize it's unfair for you to clean up after me, but I nevertheless appreciate the second set of eyes.
- In any event, yes, I'll do a better job going forward with monitoring my edits. For what it's worth, though, please know that this is not intentional in any way. I completely understand the need to be diligent. Losipov (talk) 05:14, 23 August 2026 (UTC)
- To be clear, I know this is not intentional. That being said, this is now at least the fourth time this has happened, not counting times where you did it to multiple pages in a row. At some point you need to start being more careful. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 05:15, 23 August 2026 (UTC)
- Understood.
- By the way, this might be a dumb question, but the categories that house articles containing unknown parameters are only for mainspace articles, correct? As in, if I publish something to my personal draft space, it won't become flagged or contained there? Just wanna make sure. Losipov (talk) 05:39, 23 August 2026 (UTC)
- @Zackmann08 forgot to ping you, my bad (not sure if you're alerted to replies regardless)! Losipov (talk) 05:49, 23 August 2026 (UTC)
- I am notified either way. The categories use a template called {{main other}} so only articles are in the categories, not drafts. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 15:26, 23 August 2026 (UTC)
- @Zackmann08 sorry to drag this on for longer than it needs to, but I wanted to alert you to something in case you come across it. I just translated another bridge article (it's currently in my draftspace for final touches), and although I explicitly left out a pushpin parameter when building the infobox in Content Translation, it somehow got added into the infobox when I published the page. I've just removed the parameter, but if you find in the edit history that there was in fact an unknown parameter, that is why.
- Not sure if it means anything now that it's deleted, but still, I thought to explain and give a little context :) Losipov (talk) 15:48, 24 August 2026 (UTC)
- Appreciated the heads up. As long as you fixed it, all good! Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 03:13, 25 August 2026 (UTC)

Rogotinski Bridge moved to draftspace
Thanks for your contributions to Rogotinski Bridge. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 20:00, 17 August 2026 (UTC)

- @Mariamnei Thanks for the feedback! The reason why I put the expansion tag on the article is because I didn't bring everything over from the Finnish Wikipedia. There's still content and sources left which likely establish notability, but nonetheless, I won't remove the notability tag from the article.
- I hope this clears it up at least somewhat! Losipov (talk) 13:56, 21 August 2026 (UTC)
- @Losipov - Thank you for writing to me. Looking at the Finnish Wikipedia article, I am not sure if it helps. Footnote 1 is to a map which doesn't help with notability. Footnotes 2-5 are dead links. Footnotes 6 does not appear to be about the bridge, but perhaps I missed something with this last one. Either way, please show that the bridge is notable. Thanks and have a great day! Hello and hope you're having a good day using advent.js! It's only a small note that the tool was last updated in 2014, the lang-xx templates have been deleted in 2024 and thus this gadget is deprecated. I recommend doing {{langx|xx|your text here}} instead to avoid red-linked templates. Anyways, happy editing! — SimpleObjects-9ei 🏖️/☀️/🥵 (see talk) 20:04, 21 August 2026 (UTC)
- @SimpleObjects-9ei Thanks for letting me know! I did want to ask: is there a script or another template that would let me add the languages faster and more reliably? Or is what you suggested the best thing to do? Just wanna know in order to make translations a bit easier to do. Thanks in advance! Losipov (talk) 05:43, 23 August 2026 (UTC)
