Question from Gememini (09:39, 27 April 2025)
Hello, nice to meet you!
Name's Gememini, I saw you listed as "My Mentor" and the Wikipedia encourage me to ask you about stuff.
I create Wikipedia account because I read too much Wikipedia articles in English or Indonesian languages and most of the times see just how outdated the information in Indonesian articles or how (most of the times minor) mistranslated the English to Indo (or vice versa) articles is.
If there's something that I should know before I go active in editing stuff, what should it be?
Thanks! --Gememini (talk) 09:39, 27 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Gememini--some advice:
- Editors can attempt to assert ownership of articles. They have no right to say they are the only one who can edit a page, but sometimes they might have a reason for reverting a particular edit. That's where Bold, Revert, Discuss comes into play. If you make an edit and it's reverted, talk to the user who reverted the edit and see if you can both agree on something.
- On translating content:
- The Indonesian Wikipedia might have different policies and guidelines from the English Wikipedia.
- Make sure an article from idwiki meets the notability guidelines here.
- Also, ensure that the content of the article is supported by citations.
- I am not saying that idwiki is lower-quality, just that it's not the English Wikipedia. Articles on enwiki must conform to enwiki guidelines.
- Provide information on the article from which you translated, see Help:Translation#Attribution.
- Happy to help. JayCubby 00:12, 28 April 2025 (UTC)
Question from Letthemeatfood (01:35, 28 April 2025)
Hello there! What if someone is famous and wants to create an article about themselves here? Do they need to put resources here or not since it is about themselves? --Letthemeatfood (talk) 01:35, 28 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Letthemeatfood per WP:COI, it's sort of allowed. They generally have to submit a draft for review, and the draft is held to somewhat high standards. Usually famous people pay other folks to write the article, I've found. JayCubby 01:51, 28 April 2025 (UTC)

How to add Keywords to improve a topic search
Hi Jay!
I'm new to editing - there was an existing page I edited content on (Schneeberg lace - Wikipedia) - how can I add key words so that search comes up when someone puts in "Scheeberger" to that page? Schneeberg is the place, but we in the lace world call it Scheeberger...any help is appreciated!
:-) joan JMT20000 (talk) 15:14, 28 April 2025 (UTC)
- @JMT20000, I've added this page to Schneeberg. The lace is fairly well-linked, Special:WhatLinksHere/Schneeberg_lace, but you can expand on each of the entries describing Schneeberg lace. I've created the redirect Scheeberger_lace as an alternative name.
- Are you perhaps talking about Search engine indexing? JayCubby 15:28, 28 April 2025 (UTC)
- Yes! That alternative redirect name is what I was looking for! Now when I put in Schneeberger lace the Wiki site comes up :-) Thank you! JMT20000 (talk) 15:48, 28 April 2025 (UTC)
- @JMT20000, glad to see I could be of help! In the future, you want to create redirects or articles directly, you must be autoconfirmed (made 10 edits and had an account for at least 4 days). You are only 3 edits away. Happy editing, and I hope to see you stick around! Sadly, the retention rate for new editors is dismally low... JayCubby 17:21, 28 April 2025 (UTC)

- Significant coverage is likely to exist for an athlete in any sport if they have won a medal at the modern Olympic Games, including the Summer Olympics (since 1896) or the Winter Olympics (since 1924), e.g., Ian Thorpe, or have won a medal at the Paralympic Games, e.g. Laurentia Tan, unless the athlete competed in an event with fewer than four competitors or teams (i.e., when all participants received a medal). Other exceptions may be listed at sport-specific guidelines.
- Didn't medal in the Olympics. Fails in that regard
- Have competed in the main draw in one of the highest-level professional tournaments
- ATP of 800 might fall under that, but not by much

Question from Olayemi Olatunji (19:31, 10 May 2025)
Hello, how do I create citations on John Calvin's reformation works on election by God?Title: The Reformation Doctrine of Divine Election in the Theology of John Calvin: A Historical and Theological Analysis
---
Abstract
This paper explores John Calvin's doctrine of divine election as a central tenet of Reformation theology. It considers Calvin's biblical exegesis, theological framework, and pastoral motivations, as well as how his understanding of predestination shaped subsequent Reformed thought. Special attention is paid to the theological logic of double predestination, the role of assurance, and the interplay between God's sovereignty and human responsibility. Scholarly perspectives and criticisms are integrated to present a balanced and comprehensive account.
---
1. Introduction
John Calvin, a second-generation reformer based in Geneva, systematized the Protestant understanding of salvation with a theological clarity that became foundational for the Reformed tradition. Among his many contributions, the doctrine of election occupies a pivotal place. Calvin did not invent the idea of divine election, but his particular articulation—especially of double predestination—has deeply influenced Western Christian theology. His views have been both celebrated and contested, making the doctrine of election one of the most enduring theological legacies of the Reformation.
---
2. Biblical Foundations of Calvin's Doctrine
Calvin grounded his doctrine of election primarily in the Pauline epistles, especially Romans 9 and Ephesians 1. In Institutes of the Christian Religion (III.21–24), he argues that election is God's eternal, unchangeable decree by which He chooses some for salvation while passing over others.
> "We say, then, that Scripture clearly proves this much, that God by his eternal and immutable counsel determined once for all those whom it was his pleasure to elect to salvation" (Calvin, Institutes, III.21.7).
Romans 9:11–13 was central to his argu --Olayemi Olatunji (talk) 19:31, 10 May 2025 (UTC)

Hello, JayCubby,
If you want to tag an article for a Proposed deletion, you need more of a deletion rationale than that an article was created by Lugnuts. Lugnuts created thousands of articles in the current Wikipedia, there are more than are existing on this project than ones that have been deletion. Please offer a no-nonsense, no-jokey, policy-based explanation of why an article should be deleted that, at the minimum, demonstrates that a BEFORE has been done. Just noting who created an article is not sufficient and complete sentences would also help persuade an admin who reviews them that your deletion rationale is justified. Thank you. Liz Read! Subject: Requesting feedback on draft biography – Silvia Rizzo
Hello! I’ve drafted a biography for Silvia Rizzo, an Italian international dressage rider and founder of Hof Marabunta. Here’s the sandbox: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Silviarizzoofficial/Sandbox I have declared the COI and used third-party sources. Would love some feedback before moving forward with the mainspace. Thanks a lot! --Silviarizzoofficial (talk) 19:51, 14 May 2025 (UTC)

Here’s the link to my sandbox: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Silviarizzoofficial/Sandbox Silviarizzoofficial (talk) 20:31, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you very much @Silviarizzoofficial! I'm not too familiar with horse racing, so I've asked another user's opinion. With that disclosure aside, I see a few things:
- Your draft relies mostly on Eurodressage and Tuttodressage. I take both of those to be fairly significant within the field of dressage, but that's a relatively niche field.
- However, the coverage is over the course of years, which is a sign of significance.
- Sentences like "Her work blends mindset coaching with her athletic experience to support personal growth, confidence, and clarity." are purely promotional and contribute nothing to the article.
- It still has a ways to go before being ready for an article. In the meanwhile, if you have a photo of yourself you'd like to add to the article, I'd suggest taking a selfie (for copyright reasons, it is a slight hassle uploading a photo of you by someone else) and uploading it to Wikimedia Commons JayCubby 20:57, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you! I’ve updated the draft with multiple new third-party references from international sources and adjusted the tone accordingly. Would love your opinion now:

Question from Pencilceaser123 (09:14, 28 May 2025)
Hi ive been editing for a bit, and now I just have run into a snag, I haven't been able to get OpenStreet Map to work at all on any articles. Error in Image "Balloon gun on Prussian corvette Nymphe 1872" on article "Anti-aircraft warfare"
Hi... You posted an image titled "Ballonabwehrkanone on the Prussian corvette Nymphe 1872" but the version as at today 31 May 2025 does not look like an anti-balloon gun. The image history shows that as at 13 August 2013 the image was of a smaller calibre weapon aimed at a high elevation, and an enhanced version of the same image was published 16 Nov 2020. However the two images published on 25 Jan 2025 are different from the earlier ones - although certainly rather similar. They're large calibre cannon aimed through gun-ports that don't look like the 'Ballonabwehrkanone' in earlier and in other pictures. The whole series of images do look like they're taken on the same ship, and quite possibly on the same day, but I believe the picture published on the "Anti-aircraft warfare" page as at 31 May 2025 is not of a 'Ballonabwehrkanone'. 219.89.67.113 (talk) 05:34, 31 May 2025 (UTC)

Question from LabranPuras on Leeza Mangaldas (10:41, 31 May 2025)
Hi JayCubby! I'm new to editing, and am trying to add a reference to an article. It comes up with an error message in red text:
Script warning: One or more {{cite journal}}: Empty citation (help) templates have errors; messages may be hidden (help).
I can't see what I'm doing wrong, as I auto-populated the citation with the doi of the journal article, generating the following citation:
Are you able to point out where I'm going wrong, or how to trouble-shoot? Thanks! --LabranPuras (talk) 10:42, 31 May 2025 (UTC)
- @LabranPuras, I see no reference errors in the final article. Ref errors aren't something to worry too much about, though. Happy editing! JayCubby 23:44, 31 May 2025 (UTC)
- @JayCubby, thanks for getting back to me! I didn't publish the error message as I was worried to leave an error public haha. I went back and tried again, and now it worked! Added source 22. Not sure what I had been doing wrong. Either way, thank you for the encouragement! LabranPuras (talk) 22:35, 2 June 2025 (UTC)
- @LabranPuras, no worries. Must have been a cosmic ray which caused the original problem. JayCubby 22:37, 2 June 2025 (UTC)

Drafts
Firstly, I don't take lectures from editors who've only been around here for two years about how to do cleanup work I've been doing for 20 years. There is no rule that wrapping categories on draft pages in a template is mandatory and removing them is forbidden — that's an option, not a requirement.
Secondly, the need to advise people who are repeatedly putting a draft page back into categories over and over again that they can't do that would not be magically eliminated by merely wrapping the categories instead of removing them — editors can remove the template from drafts just as easily as they can readd categories. So the template doesn't magically solve the problem all by itself, because it's still a thing that people who don't understand WP:DRAFTNOCAT remove from drafts all the time. In fact, if anything, I see more drafts where novice editors have removed the wrapper template from previously-wrapped categories than I do pages where editors have readded removed categories — so the wrapper template actually makes it more likely that the page will be put back into categories again, not less, because wrapped categories get re-unwrapped all the time.
Thirdly, I didn't "bite" anybody, and explained the issue to the user quite calmly and politely. Bearcat (talk) 23:23, 3 June 2025 (UTC)

Hi there - I was looking through the proposed deletions & saw this one. I agree it's poorly referenced, but have found a couple of articles which mention her, so I will remove PROD. I did check, and many current PRODs do not have the PROD tag if it was contested or resolved. The history is in the main article, so it is redundant here. Some examples from my prior closed PRODs where there is no tag are Nanocrystalline material, Nonmetal (astrophysics), Infrared non-destructive testing of materials (I am not searching further). I suggest removing the tag unless there is some policy you can quote, reverting your revert. N.B., you don't seem to have a PROD.log setup or it is hidden. Ldm1954 (talk) 20:07, 11 June 2025 (UTC)
Question from Cmiller117 (23:01, 11 June 2025)
I was asked by a group of psychiatrists and researchers to collate and add this more detailed entry on Donald Klein. I had difficulty adding citations -- one of them added automatically but two more didn't, and I don't understand the note that appears on them — I'm not a coder so it may be over my head. If you could help me understand what's wrong with them, or how to fix them, I would be grateful. I may have to add more citations, too. --Cmiller117 (talk) 23:01, 11 June 2025 (UTC)
- @Cmiller117, Assuming the error-throwing ones are 5 and 6, number 6 had a tab character pasted in (parameter 'Last name' for author 1 '4 Nardi' --> 'Nardi'). For #5, you put 'Richard, MD' for first name. The template got confused and thought you were listing two first names. JayCubby 23:16, 11 June 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you! Not sure I understand how you fixed them but appreciate that you did. Cmiller117 (talk) 23:28, 11 June 2025 (UTC)
- @Cmiller117, the visual editor (which you are using) allows you to go over aspects of the cite template. I just looked in the relevant fields for text that might be off and corrected it. Happy to help should you need anything more. JayCubby 23:34, 11 June 2025 (UTC)

FA images
Thanks for your reports at Errors. I think it's a good idea to ensure that images are in good shape. One of the things that I like about TFA is that the team running the show is very onto it, and their work is planned long in advance. For example, all entries for July have already been drafted. Given your interest in images, I wonder whether you could cast your eye over what's planned, rather than what is already on the main page. That would make the process a lot smoother, avoid reporting at Errors, and achieve that the improved images get protected as part of the normal course of events. It isn't too much of a hassle to go through the media protection page, apart from then having to keep an eye on whether protection has kicked in. When I'm at my desk anyway, that's not too much of an issue. But at other times, I come to my computer, check what's come up at Errors, fix what I can, and then leave the office. In that case, waiting for media protection isn't an option. I am thinking of asking for Commons adminship so that I can protect images myself.
Anyway, I thought I'd run those thoughts by you. Schwede66 23:24, 11 June 2025 (UTC)
Question from StephenMM3 (18:07, 31 May 2025)
Hi, JayCubby. I'm working with ChatGPT trying to line up the sources to verify the claims. I'm finding that ChatGPT feels more like a teenager than a grownup. So it's a slow process. It changes its mind a lot. --StephenMM3 (talk) 18:07, 31 May 2025 (UTC)
- @StephenMM3, to be fair, its training data comes in a substantial part from the internet. The internet's data is produced substantially by teenagers. If you need help with specific ChatGPT prompting, I can help with that. JayCubby 23:41, 31 May 2025 (UTC)
- Hi JayCubby, Okay that's scary. I hadn't thought of it that way. Teens in charge of intelligence. Maybe they're right, they really do know everything.
- I’m working on a draft article in my sandbox about author Stephen M. Miller. As I mentioned, I have a conflict of interest, so I’d appreciate help reviewing and submitting the draft.
- I started off looking for someone else to write a short article. ReputationX reportedly had a good reputation, teenager ChatGPT and others said. So I went there, since their price of about $5k seemed okay, but high. It got higher. They agreed to write it, for over $25k.
- So, here I sit trying to do it myself. The sandbox article is much longer than I intended, but I don't know how else to convince Wikipedia on the Notability factor. Part of the difficulty there is that I've been a fulltime writer since graduating from college 50 years ago. And I've spent most of the past decade working on the Bible paraphrase.
- I've got a lot of books I can show with my name as the writer or as the editor/writer, with strong sales. I'm trying to figure out how best to document what I've got without sounding like a press release.
- If you can give me some guidance for under $25k, you're a big step up from Reputation X.
- I would appreciate any help or advice you have. If your best advice is to walk away because what I've done with my time doesn't warrant a mention here, I'll live with that. But I really rather get a Golden Buzzer. Or at least one yes from Howie Mandel. Thanks. --StephenMM3
- StephenMM3 (talk) 00:56, 2 June 2025 (UTC)
- @StephenMM3, ah. Those article creation services are almost always either scams or run by people in a third-world country who can hardly speak English. I'm no writer, but I was able to publish this article in not that long. Someone charging $25K for an article (short of a lengthy featured one like Elizabeth II) is just plain ridiculous.
- Many of the references I found on your name were for Stephen Miller (political advisor), but there is some coverage. The Complete Guide to the Bible having sold a million copies is promising in terms of notability. However, there's no reference. I would suggest inline-citing every claim in the article (ChatGPT loves making facts up).
- Some well-written articles whose subjects are similar to and you whose layout you might find useful:
- JayCubby 01:38, 2 June 2025 (UTC)
- Yeah, I though Chat had done the inline-cing in this version and had hidden then coding because I saw the inline earlier. I'll go back and remind the teenager. Thanks. StephenMM3 (talk) 01:50, 2 June 2025 (UTC)
- @StephenMM3: And be sure to tell it to use proper wikimarkup. It's trying to use Markdown at the moment. JayCubby 01:57, 2 June 2025 (UTC)
- Here's what they came back with. There was a glitch with a youtu.be that sparked an error. And Chat seemed unable to make the correction and rerun the full article in the format it had given me a few minutes ago. I told it that it had a darned short memory. I've spent at least 12 hours with chat and trying to get this info worked out just this weekend. I'd rather pick bean in grandpa's garden. and I hate picking beans. StephenMM3 (talk) 02:20, 2 June 2025 (UTC)
- You may be better off trying to write the article yourself. Or Google what it gives you and try to find the original URLS. JayCubby 02:28, 2 June 2025 (UTC)
- Is it their formatting? As pasted it, I think it's not readable.
- Could I state with something like this?
- StephenMM3 (talk) 02:39, 2 June 2025 (UTC)
- @StephenMM3, I'm happy to clean up what it gives, malformed formatting is not a huge deal. I've commented out the pasted text on my talk page to prevent formatting issues, you can retrieve it here. Excessive external links are discouraged, though. a JayCubby 22:36, 2 June 2025 (UTC)

- Hi Jay Cubby. I just loaded into the Sandbox what ChatGPT gave me with the inline references. I haven't read it yet because I have zero confidence in ChatGPT's wikipedia skillset at this point. - Hi, Jay Cubby. Bearcat sent me a warning not to do something I don't know how to do, but apparently did 3 times: file personal sandbox page in "categories alongside finished areticles.per wp.usernocat." That was news to me. I don't even know what a categories... is. I'm kinda stuck. The article I have in sandbox seems to have the text and verifying notes correct. But I'm sure Wikipedia will want copies of documentation, which I can attach or email in a zipped file. I'm not sure what to do next. If I do a 4th time what I don't know how to do, I'll get caught in a bear trap, I've been warned. Can you please guide me out of the woods? I appreciate the direction you've already given me. StephenMM3 (talk) 22:56, 3 June 2025 (UTC)
- @StephenMM3, Bearcat is not being terribly polite, I'm afraid. He is saying that you shouldn't place the draft in categories (as ChatGPT did for you), except for categories intended for drafts.
- Categories like category:American Christian writers are not for drafts, but category:Drafts about writers is OK. Just remove the categories for now. JayCubby 23:12, 3 June 2025 (UTC)

- Hi, Jay Cubby. I'm trying to begin to upload documents to verify claims in the Sandbox article but they are quickly deleted. Newspaper clipping and magazine journal book review for example, which aren't available as URLs that I can find. ChatGPT guided me through how to upload them as "free use" docs, but they got deleted because they weren't associated with a published article. This feels like a cowboy running through a Native American tomahawk gauntlet. Is there a more effective way of providing the editors with what they need to verify claims that go back many years? Thanks.```` StephenMM3 (talk) 01:46, 11 June 2025 (UTC)

- Hi, Jay Cubby
- ChatGPT says the article is ready but needs checked for:
- Neutral tone
- Verifiable sources
- Notability
- It also said if you agree we should keep the disclosure outside the article markup:
- {{subst:Proposed COI}}
- This draft was submitted by or on behalf of the subject, Stephen M. Miller, who has a conflict of interest. The content was developed using publicly verifiable sources with editorial assistance from ChatGPT.

- @StephenMM3: the layout needs some tweaking (not a huge deal). I've performed cleanup (we don't like putting the ® symbol in articles) and begun moving information into the infobox. If there is more coverage of you (significant interviews, etc), I would add those. JayCubby 20:30, 11 June 2025 (UTC)

- Hi Jay Cubby
- Could you give this a last once-over? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:StephenMM3/sandbox#Christian_author_Stephen_M._Miller
- So, I spent almost 10 hours on this with ChatGPT yesterday. And as I was about to cut and paste the final draft before checking with you, Chat glitched. All it had was the basic framework. Fortunately, I had made a copy. But it did nothing right after that. I insulted it and fired it. Then I reloaded another version and asked for something smarter. It worked smoothly, but lost its sense of humor. Me, too. At this point, I'm afraid to continue to use it for this. This article is much longer than I intended. It got this way to help establish notability after a 45-year career in this field. Very few url's go back to some of my claims. But I have a lot of documentation on paper, available on request. What's funny about Chat is that I asked it this question: "Who are the top 25 Christian writers in the last 50 years who have helped make the Bible accessible and easy and engaging to read?" It listed me #3. I suspect it was trying to get back on my good side. Thanks again for your help. ```` StephenMM3 (talk) 18:04, 12 June 2025 (UTC)

- @StephenMM3: It was submitted, declined by @Timtrent. His (valid) concern was the lack of significant coverage. You really need to add more coverage bringing the article in line with our notability guidelines for authors JayCubby 22:34, 12 June 2025 (UTC)

- @StephenMM3, if you just cite the newspaper, date, author, and anything else relevant you should be fine. Help:Referencing for beginners guides you through the process. JayCubby 01:55, 11 June 2025 (UTC)
- @StephenMM3, it shouldn't have. Per the history/logs of User:StephenMM3/sandbox, it has neither been moved nor deleted. Photo hasn't been moved or deleted, still at File:Christian author Stephen M. Miller.jpg. JayCubby 03:06, 7 June 2025 (UTC)

@JayCubby You could, of course, move it unilaterally to become an article, assuming your edits have passed the threshold to allow you to do that. If you were to do that it woudl bee likely to face an immediate deletion discussion. In the state I reviewed it that is something it would fail
This seems like a very lengthy conversation over the simple matter of referencing the draft properly. It comes down to a very simple principle. The subject of the article wants it published. You have a COI and want to publish it. The work has to be done by someone. not AI, by a human. That human is you. 🇵🇸🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦🇵🇸 07:02, 13 June 2025 (UTC)

You have been assigned as a mentor to you so thank you first of all. I am very new here in the editor role. Would seek your guidance.
How have you been? And which part of the world do you live in?
I saw you talking about digital signature. What is it?
Also, what things I should keep in mind while editing or listing a new topic?

- I've been well, overall. You?
- I've been to Canada for a day, Israel for a few weeks, and the West Bank for a few days (the rest of my life has been spent in the USA).

Question from ElementalDusts (05:39, 16 August 2025)
!!! Resolved !!!
I’m a new editor and I’m severely annoyed by what just happened to me.
I was the process of editing a pretty poorly written Wikipedia page, the Dubai Mallathon, when something very frustrating happened.
I started by correcting a really awkward sentence to the Dubai Mallathon page. The entire page is awful, but I was slowing working my way through it. I hoped to add additional information about the event and polish grammar and readability.
I was in the process of figuring out how to add a reference when an Indian guy (he has a personal Wikipedia page with genealogy information) with like 1,300 edits swooped in and reverted my two edits while I was in the middle of adding a citation. His explanation for reverting my edits was, and I quote him exactly, “no need of this”
Am I wrong here? He clearly doesn’t understand what a clunky/grammatically incorrect sentence in English sounds like, and yet he’s nuking my edits. I spent 20 minutes of my life learning about a race in Dubai, and it just doesn’t seem right that a man who speaks English as a second second did that to me. --ElementalDusts (talk) 05:39, 16 August 2025 (UTC)
- What can I do about this, and is there anything you can do to help me? ElementalDusts (talk) 05:41, 16 August 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry for the nested replies. A Redditor suggested that I open a talk page, so I went straight to his page. Hopefully that is the correct way to start this process. This is the message that I posted:
- I encountered the Dubai Mallathon page, and I discovered very quickly that the page was rough around the edges.
- I started by correcting a sentence that sounded very clumsy. It was not a well written sentence.
- I then spent some time researching the race, and I discovered that this is the first year that the race occurred. But the Dubai Mallathon doesn’t refer to one specific location; it refers to a series of 9 races happening within Dubai. I was in the process of adding this information and referencing it when you reverted it.
- I am hoping you will undo this so I can continue my editing. I am only hoping to make Wikipedia a more informative place, as you are.
- - Thank you ElementalDusts (talk) 05:50, 16 August 2025 (UTC)

Question from Moss-beds (15:11, 4 September 2025)
Hey I have a question about fair use. I want to know if including a painting under copyright in an article would be a good idea, but I can't seem to even verify who has the rights to this. I know it's a last resort thing, but it was near impossible to find an image of this painting. The museum itself doesn't have an image, which may honestly point to erring on the side of caution. I think it fits under fair use policy. It *would* greatly increase reader understanding. I'm still super unsure. Article is Aviation (painting) and the image I want to use is in source 2, which might fix the reader-can't-see-it problem. --Moss-beds (talk) 15:11, 4 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Moss-beds: fair use would be absolutely justified here.
- The source of the painting doesn't really matter. Generally it's ok so long as the 'source' link isn't to a piracy site.
- As for finding someone with a copy of Tamayo, a commentary by the artist, ask at Wikipedia:WikiProject Resource Exchange/Resource Request.
- You could also ask the museum for a photo. JayCubby 17:23, 4 September 2025 (UTC)

- @Zittergrus, see Wikipedia:Controlling search engine indexing. It may take a few days for Google to pick up the changes. JayCubby 16:41, 24 September 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry I mean how do I get the right content on the page. Most of my revisions were denied yesterday because I work for the company. 136.33.98.185 (talk) 16:54, 24 September 2025 (UTC)
- Ah. @Zittergrus, your edits, reverted by @Viewmont Viking, were somewhat promotional.
- Phrases like "The company positions itself as a premium fulfillment partner" add little to the article's meaning, but "a focus on the apparel, health & beauty and small home goods industries" is OK. I think you could re-add the focus, but without corporate buzzwords. If you'd prefer, you could make a request on the talk page. For that, follow the steps at Wikipedia:Edit Request Wizard/COI. Hello sponsor! I'm ready to start supplementing articles here and there. My interests include fantasy sports, car racing, especially rally and Formula 1, travel/geography, geology, archeology, fossils, the US Constitution, and religion. I started looking at the top of this list - fantasy sports. Pretty good page, but the terms are a little vague if someone really didn't know what fantasy sports were. "Proxy players", etc. Do you think a specific example of a typical league would be. Mention friends playing together, the draft or auction method of acquiring players, the frequent requirement that a specific player can only be on one team, etc.? Question from 5carlyrosette (00:12, 18 October 2025)
Hello JayCubby, I hope you’re doing well. I recently tried to update the Jeff the Killer article to clarify the authorship and origin sections based on verifiable sources, but my edit was blocked by filter LTA 404.
My intention is to provide accurate and sourced information, not to promote any personal view. The update included details such as:
The canonical version of Jeff the Killer was published by GameFuelTV (Josh Jordan) in 2011.
The Jane the Killer story was developed by PastaStalker64 in 2012 from an earlier concept by MadameBlackWolf.
Would you mind advising me how to safely rephrase or structure this edit so it’s accepted? I’d also appreciate knowing how to correctly cite the sources (archived pages, Fandom cleanup, etc.) without triggering the filter again.
Thank you very much for your time and guidance.
I also wanted to clarify that I have verifiable evidence and documentation regarding the authorship issue. Several reliable sources including archived pages, original uploads, and a detailed video analysis support that Sesseur (Jeff Case) is not the original author of the canonical Jeff the Killer story.
My only intention is to help correct outdated or misleading information in this older article and make sure it reflects the real, documented origins (GameFuelTV / Josh Jordan). I’m not trying to start an edit war just to align the article with verifiable facts.
If needed, I can provide the sources privately or in a draft before publishing any edit.

Hi Jay,
I just submitted an edit to the article on Bektashism. When I open the article now, I see my edits. Isn't there a review process to approve edits?
Thanks, Mark Stewart --Madestew (talk) 18:04, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Madestew, good question! In the case of high-visibility pages, sometimes pending changes protection is applied, and edits by new users must be approved. For most pages, edits are 'reviewed' by editors who have watchlisted pages, but edits go through until reverted. JayCubby 18:19, 29 October 2025 (UTC)

Hey, what’s the etiquette around other editor’s drafts? Draft:Narcissus Garden is going to die next month, but I’d consider it notable. The original editor hasn’t been active in 5 months anywhere on the site. I left a message on their talk page a little while ago and they haven’t replied. Do I edit the article, or let it die and resubmit it? I’m not super sure if it’s considered rude/improper or not. Thanks, Sam. --Moss-beds (talk) 23:40, 1 November 2025 (UTC)

The assassination of John F. Kennedy, the 35th U.S. president, occurred on November 22, 1963, while Kennedy was riding in a motorcade through Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas. He was shot from the Texas School Book Depository by Lee Harvey Oswald. Kennedy was pronounced dead at Parkland Memorial Hospital. Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson was sworn in as president later that day. Oswald was arrested and charged with murder. Two days later, he was shot dead by Jack Ruby on live television. The Warren Commission concluded that Oswald killed Kennedy, acting alone; most later federal investigations have agreed with its general findings. The event is still the subject of debate and conspiracy theories, which many Americans believe in. Kennedy's killing had a profound impact and was the first of four major assassinations during the 1960s in the United States, including that of Kennedy's brother Robert in 1968. Kennedy was the fourth U.S. president to be assassinated and the most recent to have died in office. This photograph of Kennedy in his presidential state car was taken by Walt Cisco of The Dallas Morning News minutes before his assassination. Photograph credit: Walt Cisco

Question from TheAmazingSpiderMan2099 (00:16, 10 November 2025)
I want to edit the Aquaman (2018 film) article, but I'm warned against directly editing it since it's considered vandalism. How else can I edit it? --TheAmazingSpiderMan2099 (talk) 00:16, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
- Sure thing, although I've no idea why I'm being asked this on a seemingly random user's talk page. I'll respond directly to TheAmazingSpiderMan2099. Barry Wom (talk) 10:59, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
