Sockpuppets
Greetings, JBW.
Hello, I hope you're doing well. I would like to bring to your attention a user who appears to be operating two accounts without disclosing the alternative account on their main account: AMAN KUMAR and VIKRAM47.
Before creating the second account, the user operated VIKRAM47 for promotional and spam-related activity and was subsequently blocked for promotion on the Hindi Wikipedia. Approximately 3–4 months ago, the user also disclosed the alternative account on M7's talk page, as seen here.
As far as I understand, users operating multiple accounts are expected to disclose their alternative accounts appropriately, particularly when the accounts are used in ways that may affect editing or administrative processes.
If you have time, could you please review the activity of VIKRAM47 and determine whether there are any additional account-related or promotional concerns that may require attention on English Wikipedia?
Thank you for taking the time to review this. Cptabhiimanyuseven🦚(Talk 🇮🇳 Contribs) 10:19, 19 August 2026 (UTC)
- @Cptabhiimanyuseven, I think these two accounts have already been declared by the user. If the user has any more accounts, further action is needed. ☆★Sanjeev Kumar (talk) 10:29, 19 August 2026 (UTC)
- @संजीव कुमार: Hello there, Thank you for your response. I understand your concern, but the user has declared their other account on Meta Wikimedia when they were globally blocked for unconstructive editing and see discussion.@Yamla:, could you please help here and help resolve this case? Thank you. Cptabhiimanyuseven🦚(Talk 🇮🇳 Contribs) 11:15, 19 August 2026 (UTC)
- @Cptabhiimanyuseven: I don't want to spam others' talk pages. However, I believe that some users make mistakes in their initial phase. If he has made any mistake after his previous unblock, we can discuss it or take action. ☆★Sanjeev Kumar (talk) 15:49, 19 August 2026 (UTC)

- @Cptabhiimanyuseven: I agree with Sanjeev Kumar. I have given a fuller answer in the sockpuppet investigation page which you created. JBW (talk) 07:05, 20 August 2026 (UTC)

My, somebody is persistent
Hi, JB; thought you might enjoy this. 16 (including four official ones) obviously AI-written unblock requests at User talk:Automatic.raj.07. –Skywatcher68 (talk) 13:00, 20 August 2026 (UTC)
- @Skywatcher68: Wow! ... and 12 of them word for word identical, while some others are just slight variations of the same, in at least one case obviously just a mistake in copying & pasting... and all 16 of them posted in a single succession of edits, without waiting for any response. Do they think that the more often they say the same thing, the more likely it is to be accepted? Yes, you were right, I did rather enjoy this. (Also, of course, at least once including instructions to the user on how to use the AI-generated text, showing they hadn't even read what they were posting as their own comment, but that's so common with AI-generated messages that it isn't really remarkable.)
