Hi Ray. I am so happy to have a mentor! I am working on an article in the sandbox. I want to send it to review as soon as possible. However, the images have not been through the process of the "Declaration of consent". Can images be easily added to the article later? What would be the process as soon as the "declaration of consent" is through? Further, at what stage does the internal linking of the article to other wikipedia articles need to be? On Wikipedia, nearly all images must be freely licensed, typically under CC By-SA 4.0. If you have questions about how to release images under this license, let me know and I'd be happy to help. However, I respectfully disagree that the article as a whole reads like an advertisement. I would ask that you identify specific passages that you consider promotional, as Wikipedia's guidelines ask reviewers to be specific when raising neutrality concerns (see WP:NPOVN). The article:

• Uses no superlatives or marketing language in its own voice
• Attributes all evaluative statements to named sources (e.g., "SRF described INTEGRA Biosciences as an example of...")
• Covers factual milestones — founding, acquisitions, relocations, financials — sourced to independent regional and national media (Bündner Tagblatt, SRF, RTR) and industry publications (GenomeWeb, SelectScience, Analytica World)

I have reworked the draft by adding more secondary references and revising the Products section to focus on functionality rather than specific products, in order to avoid a promotional tone. I retained one product mention that is covered by an independent source, but I am happy to remove it if that is still a concern. @Vermont I did some research on the definition of an independent source on Wikipedia and I must admit I am still a bit confused. Based on my understanding, an independent source refers to an independent editor – which would mean that only 2 out of 21 sources are non-independent. Could you help me clarify this? @Michèle Uster at Advance Metrics, so, an independent source for our purposes is one whose author/creation/etc. is independent of the topic. This article, for example, is not independent because it is a press release: it was created by the topic. Unless I've misread, the only independent sources on that article are the industry awards (which are often paid/influenced anyways), and thus there is not the kind of significant coverage that can establish notability. Causal inference is my area of most knowledge, particularly in the OLS and OLS-adjacent set of methods (despite the section you see below this one :p), though I've not edited much in the topic area. I've been planning to (read: procrastinating on) rewrite synthetic control method for a little while, and may be up to collaborate on that if it's an area of interest for you. Otherwise, basically every article on causal inference methods could use either rewriting or updating. Instrumental variables is roughly 15-20 years behind on the literature, difference in differences is basically just the 2x2 setup (and does not cover post-Bacon advances in differential treatment timing or other areas), regression discontinuity design is similarly outdated, and afaict regression adjustment/selection on observables doesn't have its own article. There is much to be done, both big and small.

Sadly I would be mostly unhelpful for Bayesian stuff. Regardless of what you end up working on, let me know if you'd like help/feedback. And let me know if snippets/information from any of these books would be helpful :) Vermont (🐿️—🏳️‍🌈) 03:19, 24 August 2026 (UTC)

September 2026 Backlog Drive | New pages patrol
On 1 September 2026, a one-month backlog drive for new pages patrol will begin at a particularly important time for NPP. The backlog has now passed 30,000 unreviewed articles, a level that has been described in current NPP discussions as exceptionally high and potentially difficult to overcome through normal reviewing alone. Backlog drives are one of the few measures that have historically produced a noticeable reduction in the backlog, so the participation of as many active patrollers as possible will matter this month. If you can review during September, please make articles your priority. Every article that is reviewed is a meaningful reduction in the backlog. With the queue at its current size, even a relatively small increase in the number of articles each patroller reviews can add up to a substantial difference over the course of the month. This is a hybrid drive, so redirect reviewing is still included. Redirects can be a useful way for newer patrollers to get comfortable with NPP and can help people build up to reviewing articles. However, the main goal of this drive is to tackle the article backlog, and experienced patrollers are particularly encouraged to spend as much of their available reviewing time on articles as they can. Barnstars will be awarded based on the number of articles and redirects patrolled. Each article review will earn 1 point, while each redirect review will earn 0.2 points. Streak awards will be given out based on consistently hitting point thresholds for each week of the drive. Barnstars will also be granted for re-reviewing articles previously reviewed by other patrollers during the drive. If you have been thinking about doing more NPP, this is an especially good month to jump in. Whether you can review a few pages or hundreds, every review helps.
