"The Iron Throne" is the series finale of the HBO medieval fantasy television series Game of Thrones. It is the sixth episode of the eighth season and the 73rd overall. Written and directed by executive producers and series creators David Benioff and D. B. Weiss, the episode first aired on May 19, 2019.
