Quicksilver is a character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in The X-Men #4. Introduced as an antagonist in Magneto's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants alongside his twin sister, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver later reformed and joined the Avengers beginning with The Avengers #16, becoming part of the team's second generation.
