Marek Hamšík is a Slovak football coach and former player who played as a midfielder. He is currently the team manager and assistant coach for the Slovakia national team. Hamšík is best known for his 12-year long tenure at Italian club Napoli, where he became the club's all-time top goalscorer with 121 goals and played a club record 521 matches in all competitions. He also served as the club's captain between 2014 and 2019. With 138 caps and 26 goals at senior international level, Hamšík is both Slovakia's most capped player and all-time top scorer.
