Libyssa, also spelled Libysa (Λίβισσα), was an ancient settlement in Bithynia on the southern coast of the Sinus Astacenus in northwestern Anatolia. It was situated on the road between Chalcedon and Nicomedia. The settlement is chiefly known as the place where the Carthaginian general Hannibal died and where ancient tradition placed his tomb.
