Kirkcudbright is a harbour town and former royal burgh at the mouth of the River Dee in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, southwest of Castle Douglas and Dalbeattie. Traditionally the county town of Kirkcudbrightshire, it is 84 miles southeast of Edinburgh, 71 miles south-southeast of Glasgow, and 8 miles northeast of Castle Douglas. It had a population of 3,233 in 2022.
