Jon Kent is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. He is the son of the superhero Superman and Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane. Created by Dan Jurgens, the character first appeared in Convergence: Superman #2. Jon is the newest character in the DC Universe who assumes the superhero persona of Superboy and later takes on the mantle of Superman.
