Filton is a town and civil parish in South Gloucestershire, England, 6 miles (10 km) north of Bristol. With neighbouring Patchway, Stoke Gifford and Bradley Stoke, Filton forms the North Fringe of Bristol – part of the Bristol urban area that has become an overflow settlement for the city. Filton's economy is linked to the aerospace industry and the former Filton Airport, which closed in 2012 and as of 2026 is a regeneration site of national significance.
