Entitlement (fair division)

In fair division, a person's entitlement is the value of the goods they are owed or deserve, i.e. the total value of the goods or resources that a player would ideally receive. For example, in party-list proportional representation, a party's seat entitlement is equal to its share of the vote, times the number of seats in the legislature.
