Founded in 1985, the company offered a wide range of banking and payment services, including personal loans, home equity loans, savings products, transaction accounts, personal loans, student loans, identity protection, home equity loans, and credit cards. It owned and operated the Discover network and Pulse, and owned Diners Club International. Discover Card is the third largest credit card brand in the United States, when measured by cards in force, with nearly 50 million cardholders.
