The Dietary Guidelines for Americans (DGA) is a United States government publication which promulgates nutrition advice for Americans. First released in 1980, the guidelines have been revised every five years, with the 10th edition released in January 2026. The guidelines are published by the Department of Agriculture (USDA) Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion, together with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion.
