Christy Knowings (February 25, 1980 – August 11, 2026) was an American actress and comedienne who performed for three seasons on the Nickelodeon sketch-comedy series All That (1997 to 2000).
Early life, family and education

Knowings had a twin brother, Chris Knowings, also an actor. They were born in New York City.[citation needed]
Career
Knowings performed on And Now This, a Rosie O'Donnell sketch-comedy television special produced by Nickelodeon.
All That
Knowings subsequently joined the cast of All That and remained on the show until the end of Season 6 in 2000.
Her characters included:
- Penny Lane (inheriting the role from Alisa Reyes, who, in turn, had inherited the role from Angelique Bates)
- the dental assistant for Dr. Bynes
- Lieutenant Fondue
- Jessica from Whateverrr!!!
- Yoko from CJ and the Cloudy Knights
- Brenda Stone from Channel 6 1/2 News
- Winter Wonders from What Do You Do?, which was a parody of the Nickelodeon game show Figure It Out. Winter Wonders was a parody of Summer Sanders.
Knowings was a panelist a few times on Figure It Out.
Subsequent career
Knowings made a small cameo appearance in the green room for the show's 10th anniversary special.
From 2008 to 2011, she made three appearances on episodes of Sesame Street, alongside her twin brother Chris Knowings, who portrayed recurring character Chris Robinson. In 2020, she released the folk single "To the World".[1]
Personal life and demise

On August 7, 2026, Knowings suffered an asthma attack that left her with permanent brain damage. She was placed on life support and died at age 46 on August 11 at a Los Angeles–area hospital.[2][3][4]
Her All That castmates Kenan Thompson,[3][5][6][7] Kel Mitchell,[8] Josh Server,[9] Lisa Foiles,[10] Angelique Bates[11] and the Sesame Street social media accounts[12][13] paid tribute to her.
