The CFOP method, also known as the Fridrich method, is one of the most widely used methods for speedsolving the 3×3×3 Rubik's Cube. CFOP stands for Cross, First Two Layers (F2L), Orientation of the Last Layer (OLL), and Permutation of the Last Layer (PLL). Alongside the Roux and ZZ methods, it is regarded as one of the fastest and most popular methods used in competitive speedcubing. The method was first developed in the early 1980s through the combined innovations of several speedcubers. Jessica Fridrich, a Czech speedcuber after whom the method is commonly named, is generally credited with popularizing it after publishing her approach online in 1997.
